How many people will fit in FT-86?
Like the threat said, how many people do you think will fit in FT-86?
|
Guys, where are my polls? LOLz
Choices are: -2adults and 2 children -4adults -I don't care, give me 2 seater stripped model Edited: found where to add poll to my threat. Note: I don't remember there was the same threat. If there is, remove my threat. |
2 adults and 2 children for me i dont see anyone older than 15 fitting in the back there.
although if it was you driving your friend next to you and the girlfriends in the back then maybe 4 adults but ive made my decision based on the rule your gf/fiance/wife sits in the front passenger when ever shes in the car |
^^ I like the rule. I'm thinking about the same thing. This car will be shorter and smaller than Lexus SC, which can carry 2 adults and barely 2 children at the back. There should be no way this car can carry 4 adults or it will be stuffy.
|
Well I say 4. Heck maybe 5 for a squeese.
SVX I can fit 2 adults in the back comfitbly. |
I'm thinking it'll fit up to 4 adults though the back 2 will be cramped I'm sure

back to main subject, give me only 2 seats. I don't need/want back seats. My back seats are for putting text book & other stuff |

thats the way the back seats are the back up boot, which i use more than the boot... if u have kids and need to take them somewhere there is always the *wifes car! *wifes car: otherwise known as the taxi, food.groceries transporter, the dodgem car("oh the dints give it personality), the tank("get outta ma way im driving"), the "ohhhh it looks so pretty", the make up studio, the "is this steering wheel connected to the wheels?", and my favorite the constantly lost |

I'd say about 6 people + the driver.

I've been in the back of a '92-'96 Prelude, when there were 4 people (including) me over 6' in it. The combination of college gas budgets and thin seats means that at least as many people as there are seatbelts fit in a car. Quote:
A professor at my college drives (well it was for sale, maybe not anymore) a Porsche 993, very nice car with integrated cage etc etc; and he replaced the rear "seats" with a box. Hard to explain, should've taken pictures, but it was tied into the cage with 3/4" tubing, and used leather wrapped plywood to section off a box a little shorter than the rear window, that took all of the back seat, with a hinged top so he could keep wherever he needed (books, gym bag, whatever) there and not have to go to the trunk. Very nice setup. I park in a different lot now, but I may go and try to find the car, to be able to describe it a little better. |

I said 2 adults and 2 children. It only makes sense. I could care less if nobody fits in the back seats. Like stated before, it will keep insurance down. I'm just gonna take em out anyway.

Good man^:party0030: |
It's going to be four adults. You're not gonig to be able to fit 4 6'+ people in it but I would hope Toyota has had the forethought into actually making the backseats usuable.

hopefully nobody will be putting 4 people in it too often anyways, i'm sure the weight would drop performance a lot
|
I only know performance will drop at the time you put too much weight in the car, but after that too?

My hope is that the engineers and designers of Toyota have taken this into account when making the back seats and aren't just an afterthought/insurance lowering mechanism. |

If I'm driving that thing, only 3 since I'm 6'2! Ain't nobody gonna be able to sit behind me w/out losing blood circulation to their legs. ;) |
Yeah it might have been the RX-8. In either case the FT86 is 6 inches shorter lengthwise then my Yaris and 9 inches shorter height wise. I do see height being a problem for those sitting in the back but lengthwise especially since I'm short and like to drive close to the steering wheel and pedals I don't see footroom being too much of a problem.

I would love a two seat hatchback like my old CRX.

for short trips, 4 adults. for long trips, 2 adults. if i need to go on a long trip with more than one other person, i'll take a different vehicle.
|
I kind of hope they take the backseats from the concept. I like the racing seat design..like the Aston Martin Rapide. They aren't going to be very usable either way. Lower insurance, room for books in the back.
|
As long as me and my girl can fit into the back seat im good.
