fantastic watch...

As a designer myself...this video is a true homage to how art and engineering can come together in perfect unison ...when art and engineering many times never see eye to eye.

Good vid.

Interesting, but somehow makes me dislike the Huayra even more then already did. Part of what I like about the BRZ/FRS is the simplicity of it. The Huayra is anything but simple.

I agree. While I will never be able to afford one (if I did would probably buy something else instead), I can at least appreciate their design, attention to detail, the "art" behind the design and the overall quality. Well done Pagani!

Longhorn248 03-20-2012 12:44 AM

I saw this video a while ago on another car forum, still great to watch every time. Would love to drive something like that one day even if I never have a chance to own something like it.

link didnt load for me, but the national geographic Pagani Huayra video was awesome

15 year old boys birthday gift is a new Pagani Huayra

What will he get on his 16th birthday?

http://www.dpccars.com/gallery/var/r...a%20-%2001.jpg

from the article:
He is 15 years old and lives in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The supercar comes as a gift for the boy’s birthday and is the first Huayra order from this country, although it will be the second of its kind to hit the roads in Taiwan.

What could possibly go wrong?

Model Citizen 08-20-2014 02:25 PM

How are they going to top that going forward?

Or is the plan to eliminate future birthdays?

If so thats a genius way to get rid of unwanted teens.

Maybe something like "This is your college fund. Go to college or take the car."

Nah. That screams budget. Like offering a gtr in that choice.

This car says $ isnt a factor.

I'm not sure what I'm more upset about, the fact that this 15 year old child who can't drive got a hyura, or the fact that it's yellow :barf:

Yellow isn,t surprising. I wanted a yellow Mustang GT when I was that age.

Meh. I don't begrudge the exceedingly wealthy their lifestyle. I hope the kid respects the amount of power in the car and can appreciate his position in life. It'd be unjust of me to pass judgment on him or his based simply on the fact that he comes from a family with money.

Nice car. Best of luck.

Flowers on his grave? Hopefully not, but at any age a Pagani can be dangerous, but at 16?

College fund? Try a rest of your life fund

n2oinferno 08-21-2014 09:55 AM

cool story

Just hope he enjoys it responsibly and doesn't end up mangling it/himself.

Have you seen what college costs these days?!? God help you if you go for a law degree or doctorate.

Nevermore 08-21-2014 12:14 PM

Everyone says it's a shame he has it and can't drive, but what's the driving age there? Just because it's 16 in most places in America doesn't mean he can't drive at 15 there.

Edit: Guess I should've googled it beforehand instead of after. Looks like you have to be 18 to get your license there. What's he going to do with it for 3 years?

Accurate Race Shop 08-21-2014 12:24 PM

The fact the car was crazy expensive doesn't bother me (if you have it spend it however you want) but the unsafe part does. I had an 83 camaro that was more or less a drag car. When I sold it I had at least 4 people I turned down simply because they were buying it for there teenage son. The same thing happened to me at 16 I saw a really cool nova with a bunch of work done to it emptied my savings account ran over to get told "go home i'm not selling it to someone that doesn't have the experience to keep it on the road."

ZionsWrath 08-21-2014 12:32 PM

I'm sure his parents have enough money to send him to private track events/driver training without a license.

Lucky kid, I'm jelly. Time to buy a scratch off.

defiantly this ^^^

who knows maybe the kid has been driving shifter karts since he was 6 years old and might drive a car around the track better than 99% of the people on this forum. you just never know :)

i remember when i first started driving. I almost got in a couple accidents and its not because i didn't know how to check my mirrors or maintain correct speed, ect. i wasn't ready to drive defensively against other drivers who weren't paying attention.

Speed2th 08-21-2014 09:51 PM

story doesn't make sense. in Taiwan, you cannot drive until you are 18.

Well I think between myself and my fiance were only going to get stuck with 27k between the 2 of us. While, Im 25 and I could probably live the rest of my life on $1.3 million. Sure, not lavishly but I could lol. Not arguing, just college wasn't an issue for me lol

Faceless 08-21-2014 10:27 PM

The article states that the car will be delivered to the kid then transferred back to Italy until he has his license.

Minimum driving age probably depends on how much money your parents have.

Its a good thing I didnt have so much responsibility on my hands when I was 15

That's one way to keep you kid out of trouble. "If you even think about smoking pot i'll call them and have them sell it for scrap!"

Sent from my Q10

i followed up the news articles from Taiwan. the information was incorrect. The son of the wealth business man is over 20 years old and is currently study on board at foreign country. The father owns business that manufacture screws and bolts that supplied to major car manufacturers.
