What'd it cost to get your windows tinted?
I just got my BRZ and I want to get my windows done. What'd you guys pay for yours?
|
I paid $200 for a crappy tint job. High quality tint but too many dust spots IMO.
Find a few different places and go to the one u believe will do the best job. *edited* i should have been more specific. |
Less than $200 for a high quality ceramic tint that really looks good and keeps that heat out. And a good install too.
Call around and check and get references and look at some of their work. Good luck! |
$200 is reasonable for a quality tint IMO

160 for 3M 30%. Life time guarantee.
Go to Shades of Grey on Bustleton Pike |
It should cost about 200 bucks for the 5 windows...If you're anywhere near Danbury, CT - I would recommend hitting up Miceli tint. He has a diecut tint machine...no longer will you have choppy razor blade marks on the top of the window:

160 right off south street bridge. They did it quick and neat and warranty for as long as u own your car.

$180 for highest quality tint that can be provided. They screwed up and gave me the best tint. Therefore they charged me for the mid grade tint I was asking for. I also found a $20 off coupon on my iphone right before I paid. I got lucky. Did a great job all around. 20% tint is perfect for this car.

Leeberbs is the Subaru place to get your windows tinted. Grassroots guy who has been helping the Subie community since 2001 when we all got started in this business...

I am also looking to get my car tinted. The local place I usually get it done is going to charge $175 for a good quality tint. My only question is how dark should I go? Around here about any place will go darker than legal and the cops don't seem to care. They will go 35%, 22%, OR 13% for the darker tints. Any one got pics of a DGM BRZ with darker tints that I can compare?

I'm trading a local shop for some Decal Work. I cut decals for them and he's tinted my taillights and going to do my windows. Once I find the time to take it to him. I could do it myself, but just don't have the time right now.

yeah, i got mine done with Leeberb
he's a good guy and does excellent work. |
Keep in mind that the cost can vary depending on the type of tint you choose. I could have gotten the tint job cheaper, but chose to go with the more expensive Wincos.
|
Lee did mine also I went with Madico charcool 35 front 20 rear

Just got my windows tinted yesterday, but now I'm a bit concerned and feel like I've had smoke blown up my ass. This shop came highly recommended from a friend of mine at work. But I'm noticing little tiny bubbles in the tint. Called the shop and they said that moisture, especially in PA where it's humid is normal. And that the squeegee can only get out so much. They said within a few days they should evaporate and go away. Is this BS?

First time getting tint? It's normal. They should disappear after a couple days in the sun. If not, then go back. Also, don't roll your windows down for a couple days. |

Parking in the sun will help bubbles evaporate a little quicker too
