Koni Yellow Shocks - Full Front Replacements - Released

Koni has finally done it. Gone are the days of hassling with inserts. There is now a drop in solution for upgrading your stock struts to the adjustable Koni Yellows. Simply add springs and go. I know a lot of people were waiting for these just like we were. :)

Hah won't the WRX guys be jealous. I think they have been asking for those for about 12 years now...

That's great news!

Also curious on the price. Is that what they retail for? Or is this an introductory offer?

Installed these on my brother's FRS last week.
They fit great and he likes them a lot.

MmmHamSandwich 08-14-2014 09:44 PM

Did inserts on my old Si. While it was a fun learning experience it's probably one I could do without repeating.

Great to see true yellow struts available for us. I shudder to think of lowering this car, but if I do this is probably the route I'll go.

Koni has finally done it.

Thanks for helping to bring a great product to the community. And... your advisory warning is rather hilarious.

"Please note, Koni may have the absolute worst packaging on the planet [...] please do not expect gold plated struts. If you want those, go for the Bilsteins."

Did you reuse the stock springs?

JasperNoone 08-15-2014 01:36 AM

Hm, do these raise the front by a little bit just like the inserts do?

Bigbadvoodooguru 08-15-2014 03:54 AM

he has lowering springs. They were previously installed on the stock shocks for a bit while he saved up money.

Finally ALL YELLOW KONI's. :D

I've disappointed after Koni inserts installed because it is black! :iono:

ncmx5 08-18-2014 12:14 PM

I need koni to warrant my damn inserts! Front left is so squeaky you can barely hear anything else except the brakes.

I wonder if these are more capable and can go firmer than B8s. The adjustability is attractive and is def a pro; but chipped paint, bad paint jobs, lower quality, possible future leakage is a con.

LOVE koni products

how do you think these would pair up with Eibach Sportlines?

compared to the stock struts, do you think these would soften the ride at all?

I think a RCE T0 or KW V3 might fit your needs better if looking to soften up the ride and lower the car.

ML 08-19-2014 10:37 PM

these are adjustable, where the blisten's arnt right?

feldy 08-23-2014 10:57 PM

I run the Inserts now with Rce tarmac springs. Did they make any mention of any differences other then getting a housing?
