1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo For Sale
With the 25 year rule, this car should be legal to buy in the US next year.
http://www.dpccars.com/gallery/var/r...xuuUrUSBnN.jpg from the article: This 1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R (VIN BNR32-100167) is claimed to be one of 500 Nismo homologation versions, and this R32 generation of cars are arguably the best looking modern, RB-series powered GT-R’s. This one was imported under the Show or Display Exemption, but with the car approaching 25 years old may soon be eligible for full, legal street registration. 6 pictures and full article . |
WANT!

R32 Skyline... my absolute favorite Skyline.
I second Luis_GT's thought: "WANT!" |
I would gladly trade in my Evo X. 32's have always been my favorite.
|
It's neat, but for the money I can think of other cars I'd rather own.
|
Yeah, but when an R35 rolls up next to you, you're going to feel like shit for the whole day.

Not at all. If anything the roles would be reversed. |

The only reason we idolize the R32 is because we can't have it. When i was in Greece i was asked by fellow enthusiasts constantly about muscle sars, the Challenger, Camaro, etc. Cars they don't have there are very blown up. If a SS Camaro rolled by, they would go nuts because of its unicorn factor. But to me and you, an SS Camaro is a meh car, yeah it's gotta horses but that's about it. Even more so about the Corvette. It is possible to get those cars there, but it's different in each European country. |

Pretty sweet. Just wish the steering wheel was on the other side.

I drive over to a right hand drive importer nearby many an evening to drool over what they have on the lot. Still happy I bought an FR-S as my summer car though. My WRX has turbo and all wheel drive plus a lot more tech than those older GTRs do. Plus I don't have to worry about my turbo blowing up.
Going through a drive thru is darn near impossible in a right drive BTW. Here's what I drooled over this week: 1st gen WRX RA WRX 555 Same era EVO Mid 90's Legacy GT wagon and sedan B B spec, both with factory Bilsteins R32's R34's S15 Sylvia 1st gen 70's GTR showroom condition Honda Beat Plus several other cool kei cars I will post some pics soon but you can see many of them here: www.rightdrive.ca I'd probably buy and play with some JDM classics if I have the extra garage space and cash to burn. |
did I miss the price??

I still do day dream about finding a clean lhd 94 Celica shell then buying a rhd 94 celica gt4 to use for a conversion. That'll cover my ass on the VIN tags, LHD, and insurance. |
The N1 is the special one, the nismo is just some minor aero for cooling.

It is kinda funny how places that can't have one really want one while places that can view them like we do 90's corvettes. I am going to the Philippines for a vacation and a track day, my friend there has a civic and an R34. I instantly picked the R34 since I can't have one here and the few you see the owners are not going to let you drive. The overwhelming response from people in the Philippines including my friend was to use the civic and forget the R34. It is a really cool car but I think a lot of it is just the grass is always greener on the side of the fence that says stay the f@*k off my lawn.

Like my friend in the philippines when he saw I owned a 83 camaro "with a huge v8" he thought I was crazy to be selling it for $2,500. And said with a car that cool how could you ever get rid of it. I say the same thing about a lot of cool cars he has that I can't have. He is trying to get me to ship a 90's corvette to him despite after shipping and taxes it's going to be well over $15k because he can't find one there. The most hammered I have ever been still would not get me to pay $15k for used 90's corvette with over 150k miles on it. Sent from my Q10 |

Never understood the hype around these old skylines. If this was your favorite car growing up and it was your dream to have one, then it'd make sense. But it seems like more of a hipster thing for the majority of the people drooling over them.
For the amount of money you'd spend on this old ass car you can buy something more current, reliable, and just overall better. On that note I've always loved the Evolution V and VI since I was a teenager. If I were given the chance to buy one, I probably wouldn't spend anything over 10k for it. |

People who like old cars must be idiots, they should definitely get rid of them and buy new ones. You should get rid of your car now, there are cars built after yours that are better. |

Like I said if you grew up loving the older Skylines and it was always your dream car that's one thing, but there are definitely people who talk about how they want one because it's pretty much the cliche JDM car. Also I have a friend who bought a Soarer for 10k and another friend who got a 93 RHD FD RX-7 for 11 and change. Both of those cars were purchased around 3 or 4 years go. So getting a Evo V or VI in decent condition for around 10k doesn't sound like a stretch. |
