If you don't mind, could you share your
age years of experience insurance agent what state/province you live in any accidents or such just trying to figure how how much insurance cost is generally amongst the different age groups |
No.

History: No Accidents or tickets Location: Savannah, GA Insurance: Progressive (1 FRS Full Coverage) Price: $163 per Month for 6 Months |
I pay a bit under $1k for 6 months with a mediocre driving record as far as accidents and tickets go.
This is "full coverage" (which I guess is different for everyone so whatever) and $500 deductible |

Unless someone is the exact same age, credit profile, driving record, lives in same ZIP code as you and owns all the same properties as you, as well as shares your commute and mileage for the car... you won't get the same answer. Do yourself a favor and actually go ask for an insurance quote from multiple companies. -alex |

For someone that is around the same age (or in the same bracket, i.e. under 25 or over, married or not, etc.) they will likely have similar rates. i mean you are right, there are tons of things that go into it, but -credit profile -zip code -commute -mileage will have a minimal effect... I would imagine +/- 10% for all of those combined. I think I save 10% by having 2 cars. Age / marriage is biggest factor |

Where I live now (91745), the exact same car is 15% higher if I moved to West LA (all else being equal, down to same house ownership & multi-car discount). If I dropped the mileage from 15k to 10k, I save up to 10% where I am. I've done the math several times, my local AAA office hates me already. I put on way more miles than the announced 15k oer year, but that's mostly because they don't audit it as much as before. -alex |

Driving since 17 Live in KY Farm Bureau $285 per month full coverage in my name |
Question: you young bucks are basically paying two car notes for your brz/frs. Have you tried living within your means and not play catching up with the Jones? I make over $6k a month and a $400 a month car note on my wrx is alot. Not to mention I pay $87 a month full coverage for insurance plus gas. That's easily over $700 a month on one car.
Are you guys living paycheck to paycheck? |
It's not that bad really. I'd rather spend the extra money on something new that I've maintained rather than a used car that I don't know how it's been treated or maintained. So it's worth it in the long run.
|
How much each person pays per month is quite worthless w/o complete coverage details
collision? comprehensive? uninsured driver? rental car? med pay? OP, if you're looking to compare rates, you should just use a comparison website or something similar to get rates tailored to YOU. Be aware of any discount you may be able to get, which will reduce rates as well. |
$164/month
On mom's policy (49y.o) One accident (other drivers fault; T boned) 21 st insurance with home owners insurance discount, with 4 cars total on policy. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk |
Jeeeze I'm seeing all these low rates and I'm starting to feel a bit screwed right now lol
23 7-8 years driving National General New York -1 ticket (expired license, got pulled over the day after my 21st b-day and had no clue that's the date your license expires -__-) -$240 / month for 10 months (2,400 a year) Full coverage, glass, no rental. $500 deductible And that's after defensive driving! Luckily I got 1% financing and only paying $280/month for the car note  |

My insurance has been within $10 of yours for my entire ownership of this car and my 'car note' was less than yours as I put in a sizable downpayment. I make less money than you and I had the car paid off in under 2 years, while maintaining >6 months of liquid assets for an emergency. I also don't have a mortgage, the associated homeowners insurance, property taxes, only one (sometimes two or three) mouths to feed, bodies to clothe, sets of teeth to take to the dentist, I entertain myself with youtube instead of a several hundred dollar per month cable package, I don't have a landline, storage unit, life insurance policy, I'm not saving up for a new fridge, oven, washing machine, a $60 video game can keep me engrossed for dozens of hours compared to $10 for a movie ticket plus popcorn and soda (another $10 right there just for 2!), an exciting evening to me is changing my own transmission fluid, so many other things we just don't have to worry about. After I put a roof over my head, cover all my recurring monthly bills as a modern citizen nearly half my take home is 'expendable'. I was very fortunate to graduate college with minimal debt and land gainful employment soon after, my parents went out of their way to give me the chance to succeed, for some they were too generous, for others they pale in comparison to those afflicted with affluenza, but they haven't given me a dime since I graduated (ok, maybe a couple home cooked meals). I'm a rarity sure but not an impossibility. |
