Still by far the best looking widebody kit available for this car IMO, although early on people got tired of it because it was popping up everywhere with not many other options besides lip kits. It actually looks a lot better on the Twins then it does on the GT-R 35

While there are a lot of them, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. When I get my twin, it's either this or the Varis regardless of how many people have them on. It REALLY suits the car IMO

Even though people say it's getting played out, it's one of my favorite kit out there.

Varis any day over this bunny fad. This kit has become way to popular.

Cool write up. But if it was to be a functional wide body. I think quite easily Varis takes the cake!

Agreed, in terms of function Varis will always be #1 but sometimes the look of your car changes the entire way you feel about it. I'm a function over form guy MOST of the time, but sometimes you have to make an exception.

The RB does have some decent aero on the V2 with the front diffuser, it's functional to some extent.

In any case, the story behind the RB was pretty amazing and we wanted to do a little write-up on it just because we were really impressed with it

RB Kit with any paint or even plasti-dip to hide the rivets and no spoiler, is a winner.

I actually like the rivet look, and the spoiler will be needed if they are building a race car

To each their own, it really depends on what you want the end result to be. With Advan tires with the white writing, roll cage, etc. the rivet look is perfect -- pure function and race appeal.

Otherwise, getting a really seamless look is awesome with a duckbill trunk and nice rims with carbon accents all around the car -- show car look.

Pretty much works either way for me as long as you aren't mixing both :)

As long as we have made that distinction....that spoiler is absolutely not necessary on the street...you need a very capable car to take advantage of it.

I suppose the rivet look is more 'race car' but I still think a street car should be a bit more refined. Just my opinion.

If we put aesethtics aside for a moment its something that screams douchebag in the USA. Stick on panels placed on a car that produce B segment horsepower at the wheels just is stomach turning. If you are going to decorate a car like this it had better be faster than a Civic.

I don't think i've seen a slow Rocket Bunny 86 yet, they have all been forced induction. I think if you can afford a $4,000 body kit you can afford to make your car faster then a civic.

Plus if they actually are going to release the TRD griffon kit... Why in the hell would you not get that?!

But that Civic will be better looking, usually. Taste's differ, but that thing IS ugly.

Bullshit. Never have I ever seen a nice looking civic let alone a better looking one than an frs.

RB kit on yours, then? We were talking about an FR-S with RB vs. a Cvic. The Civic is not the most attractive car, yet it's more attractive than a drop-dead sexy FR-S when covered in an RB clown suit. Especially with that dumbass wing and unfilled rivets.

So let me get this straight you clicked on a Rocket Bunny thread, knowing you do not like the Rocket Bunny body kit to waste your time talking about how ugly it is. Your opinion is your opinion but we would have been better off without it here...smh

Would you prefer that only people who have the same opinion comment in a thread? That doesn't seem like the best way to foster constructive dialogue, which is personally why I come here.

Yeah definitely, to each their own! I personally really like it (would definitely fill in rivets, duckbill trunk and no wing, built engine + turbo) but understand/respect why others wouldn't. We don't make the kit, just something we offer and thought it would be interesting to get a bit of the history behind it. :cheers:

Some of you don't really understand Miura Kei's personality behind these kits. You have to understand that he's straight up OG Japanese and he's been building aggressive kits for over 20 years under TRA Kyoto. If you've ever been lucky enough to experience the Japanese street/circuit racing culture you'll realize that their tastes in modifying are super loud and somewhat obnoxious.

I personally love it.

In agreement with a lot of the comments here – I'll combine that with some real horsepower.

Although, isn't the original idea of this thread to talk about the blog and the originator? His red 86 is probably not stock under the hood.

The background story of RB is great – solid idea creating the blog.

I may be the only one but I love that wing on the RB and if i keep my FR-S and not sell it to get a Lotus Elise, I may RB it and FI. Put it in shows and the rivets def. leave those for the aggro look.

Now with the rivets filled in, I think that goes from a decent/aggressive kit to pretty great. I just know my budget won't support wide body kits and especially the extra $$ of filling in the rivets!! :-)
