Wondering if there's a list of desired swaps for a BRZ, Completed swaps list or Worst swap ideas??

You should swap your BRZ for an FR-S.

For something different I have always wondered if you could put in the STI engine and then get a hood with a hood scoop to match up to the intercooler placement

I'm personally going for 2 pony's.

thanks to the internet, you have available to you pictures and info on every single cool 86 in the entire world. maybe a handful of people have LSx swapped 86's, and a couple more than that have 2JZ swaps. out of the tens of thousands of 86's worldwide. if that's too "played out" for you, you're going to have to come up with an engine swap that's so nonsensical that nobody else in the entire world is going to want to bother with it.

if LSx and JZ swapped 86's are "too played out" for you, show me how many people have them in your city. hell, even your state. do you go to car meets and see three of them there already?

you can already pick between BRZ or FRS, a bunch of different colors, there's at least a half dozen widebody options already, tons and tons of different lighting available, a plethora of other aero parts, and between 5x100 and 5x114 you've got a lot of choices for wheels. if you can't come up with a unique 86 you're a fool.

Maybe your friend should decide what motor he wants and then go from there, with enough money and determination im sure he could buy a motor from an F1 team and cram that in the car.

haha i had just finished watching that and then saw this and thought if it can move that big car it should do ok in a small car like a brz/frs if it even fit.

If your "buddy" can't do his own research, he really shouldn't be doing any kind of swap...

Why do you need to swap anything? People are already pushing 400+ hp with turbos or superchargers, for a lot cheaper than a swap would cost. Sure, you could drop in a 2JZ and do a custom turbo setup with 1000 hp, but why?

I did see something the other day about one shop building a track brz and going f20 or f22 out of an s2000. Interesting choice to swap to.

All my friends think I'm a bit crazy and redundant to want to swap in a 13B-MSP Renesis. It's highly unlikely that it will happen, but I can dream.

Fixed that for you. Do the math. Four rotor is twice as good as two rotor.

If you need us to give you ideas on a "unique" engine swap, you're already failing. The farthest you will get is pulling the stock motor, then you'll realize how much sh*t is involved with doing a motor swap and give up. Quit wasting yours and more importantly our time, do some research on your own, and when YOU come up with a good idea and make it work, feel free to share or don't. But if you can't even figure out a motor to use, I have very little faith you'll actually accomplish anything.

Dude a ford 5.0 motor swap would be crazy. But theres nothing wrong with LS or 2Jz. It all depends on how deep is your buddy pockets. no homo. I'm still waiting on an ej25 swap, than again I'm good with my fa20 hopefully I can add a little boost to hit the 300 mark. Goal is 350 - 380 whp, but I'm dreaming [:
