Spotted: FR-S / BRZ - Post here if you saw someone!

We want to keep these from becoming separate threads all over the forum. Since the cars have barely even come out yet, anyone you see on the road right now is probably, or should be on this forum.

Here's one i saw on 95N 5/25/12

Mr. Mcoupe 05-27-2012 12:41 PM

They are like movie starlets!

speedracer38 05-27-2012 01:25 PM

No pic but last week I saw a white FRS going the other way on the west side highway in NYC in the rain.

davisk6 05-29-2012 11:39 AM

Always dealer plates. I want to see one with a real plate :)

korinfox 06-04-2012 02:59 AM

I ran into a silver BRZ with temp plates and Subaru of Keene plate frame, right at the Route 2 rotary today around 6:30pm (Sunday 6/3). Gave the guy a thumbs up, and got one back. I was driving in the silver Lexus wagon.

Loki2x 06-07-2012 12:53 AM

Here's another I saw in Newton Center today.

WRXGuy1 06-07-2012 12:09 PM

Awesome! I have yet to see another one, aside from a dealers lot. I have a feeling I won't be seeing too many up this way, most are in Mass.

korinfox 06-08-2012 08:54 PM

Just saw one, silver BRZ, new Jersey plates, on Alewife Brook parkway right next to Alewife.

bladesamurai 06-08-2012 09:15 PM

I think I saw the same one at Cityside Subaru, parked out in front.

Deslock 06-09-2012 11:24 AM

Just exchanged smiles and a friendly wave with a black limited going in the opposite direction on North Maple St in Hadley, MA. At first I thought it was an out of state car (no front plate) and then I noticed the dealer plate in my mirror after we passed each other.

Napoleon 06-12-2012 06:03 PM

Alrighty I was driving my BRZ today around Tyngsboro-Ma/Nashua-NH and I spotted a white Scion FRS. Lowellrenzo, was that you????

M-17 06-12-2012 06:14 PM

That reminds me after the test drive I saw a black FRS on a truck bed on I90 or 95 West. Not gonna lie, I was thinking of jacking that car. :D

WRXGuy1 06-12-2012 10:26 PM

I can't wait to have my first encounter with another BRZ!

Same here, and to see every color variation of BRZ and FRS. So far I have only come across:

BRZ
World Rally Blue
Galaxy Blue Silica

FRS
Whiteout

Sony 06-12-2012 11:49 PM

I still have not come across another BRZ :( we need to have a meetup soon.

WRXGuy1 06-13-2012 03:13 PM

Well I'm driving down to Boston tonight from Manchester, should be in the city around 5-5:30. Maybe I'll see someone driving around!

I wont be home until 9:00pm so you probably wont see me unless you're in Somerville at that point lol, and if you are, not unless you're on Temple Street. xD

bladesamurai 06-13-2012 09:13 PM

There's a dark blue FR-S I see occasionally driving around in Waltham. He got it pretty early last month, too.

There are a couple First86 members from Massachusetts, it is probably one of them!

Spaceywilly 06-13-2012 11:14 PM

I saw a SWP BRZ or FRS on 495S yesterday morning, and another SWP BRZ at Sturbridge Walmart over the weekend, and obviously quite a few at WBM. I've decided the best greeting is to flip the headlights from auto to parking which will either turn the halos on during the day or shut the headlights off so just the halos are on at night (maybe not the best for the HID bulbs though, but I'm sure it won't be that often)

Kyon 06-14-2012 08:22 PM

Saw a ultramarine frs today on Mass ave. in front of MIT, with an asian girl driving.

MannyO 06-17-2012 05:00 PM

Just saw a WRB BRZ Ltd. parked at a small plaza on Broadway Rd. in Dracut.

Napoleon, was that you by any chance?

I wasn't driving mine, but it was nice to see another one so close to where I live.

MannyO 06-19-2012 10:53 PM

Saw another WRB BRZ Ltd. on Pawtucket Boulevard in Lowell at around 8 p.m.

Mr. Mcoupe 06-19-2012 11:03 PM

Saw a white FRS at Fred Haas Toyota in Spring, TX when I was picking up two boxes of TRD springs for the MR2's.

Saw another white FRS on Beltway 8 headed west.

I see white FRS'ssss everywhere!

Nope not me. I have not parked anywhere in Dracut yet. There must be a 3rd floating around.

The last time I was around the Boulevard was on Sunday the 17th around 6:30-7:00 pm. I like to drive towards Nashua, NH using the tyngsboro back road where Lowell Greater tech is located. Then I drive back the same way and straight to UMass Lowell. I am doing it on purpose so I'll run into you.

Yeah there has to be another one or two around . Wish those people were on here so we could all meet up.

So do you drive on the Boulevard to get to Tyngsboro (kinda boring) or do you take Varnum Ave./Sherburne Ave. (a few nice turns :D). I'm still looking for really nice driving roads around here but it's looking like I always have to venture north to find them.

It's not particularly exciting when there are drivers in front of me who are slower when I drive towards Greater Tech High School, but there are a few curves there and the speed limit is around 45 mph, which ideally means 50-55mph of backroad fun. I go there for a quick drive when I need a break from studying.

I went on Varnum Ave briefly though but not the entire road. I usually cross the river on Rourke Bridge (where the bowling alley is), and then i make a left onto Boulevard, with the road turning into Frost Road later on. Once I get to Sams Club, I turn around and head towards Umass Lowell, then straight home to study.

Yeah those are pretty much my same driving roads for now. We're bound to run into each other sooner rather than later.

TOMIMOTO 06-22-2012 01:17 AM

I saw a GBS Limited with temp plates pulling off of exit 5 on route3N Nashua NH.

just86 06-22-2012 01:24 AM

WRXGuy1 06-23-2012 12:05 PM

Does anyone here who has a WRB BRZ been in the Nashua and Bedford area over the past week or two? I've heard people spot them thinking it was me, haha

If it was a limited WRB, then it could be me. I have been going on quick drives towards Nashua or Bedford in the past two weeks when I was on vacation.

I feel like I am part of an endangered species. I have not come across another BRZ yet.

edit: Unless you meant Bedford, NH? I wasn't there, just Nashua.

So I took your suggestion and drove to Sherburne Ave this time towards Hudson, NH. You are right, it is much more exciting than My usual path. I also saw a white FRS parked around Varnum Ave when I took a left on to Sherburne Ave. It might have been Lowellrenzo. I PM him to confirm.

It had to be Lowellrenzo lol. Today was a good day though. Saw 3 FR-S' total and 2 other BRZ's at the meet. :thumbsup:https://www.dropbox.com/s/fzf2k99e65...2022.14.36.jpg

Yeah, I meant Bedford NH. It was also spotted at the Chunky's in Hollis.

I have yet to see another BRZ or FRS either, just waiting for the day I do!

shaX 07 06-25-2012 04:59 PM

Saw a Silver FR-S yesterday driving in Gray/New Gloucester, ME. My first time seeing one in person and boy did I confuse my GF and her daughter when the car drove by :)

I have a black one and was in that area for work... I got mine from the first batch that hit the east coast. (5/31/12) My insurance agent was pissed

I also keep seeing a blue BRZ in Reading MA.

Omg, that is where I saw that white FRS. Old Ferry Road right? I went into that parking lot too with my BRZ to snoop around.

Sovran 06-26-2012 11:11 AM

I saw a silver FR-S in Harvard Square yesterday around 1:30pm. Did an actual double-take, because I've seen so few (i.e. 1 other) outside of dealerships, and none in the city.

korinfox 06-26-2012 03:34 PM

White BRZ on Vassar near MIT around 1pm today.
