brand of oil?

Why would you blur out the oil brand?

I would rather not say.

Then this contributes NOTHING to the community.

Would you feel better PM'ing me? I'm about to switch oils Friday and am curious.

My guess is mobil 1 but the insolubles and moly arent right.

Why even bother sharing this? This is useless without knowing the oil used.

Upon further inspection, I'm 90% sure this is that kid. He said he's 18, doing oil tests, asking stupid relationship advice. This has to be him.

I'm still betting mobil1 with some crap snake oil in it. Looks terrible. Should have used amsoil.

Actually no I'm not him but this oil report is from cjsporl. He is on bob is the oil guy forums and he posted this report in the UOA section of the forums. I was just curious of what you thought of this oil he is using. It's called quantium blue.

Many of us are running vortech kits with the 3.125 pulley. Why can it not be a coincidence.

How would you know anything about the color of my car? And I don't honestly know much about cjsporl other than of the prom thread. I must say their aren't many words to describe that thread. But to end that I suggest we stay on topic with this thread. It would be unfortunate for it to be locked over something dumb.

This is not a 5W-30. For that matter, it's not a 7.5W-27 either since "27" is not a grade defined by the SAE J300 and I very seriously doubt the cold cranking viscosity was tested between -5C and -35C as defined in the ASTM D5293 cold cranking viscosity test.

I can't believe Blackstone is recommending to extend the interval. I don't think I've ever seen insolubles that high. Molakule in the bitog thread FTW (he's an oil blender)!

Sooo what's the point of this thread, advise? If you were sharing another viable oil you wouldn't of blured it out then tried to hide what it was.
You should keep running it for abother 30K at least, the car emmiting smoke and metal is good and helps with the 14 year old ladies.

There was once a thread where Dyson explained the procedure for wiping off your ATF dipstick, when checking your fluid level. I think Mercedes Benz has a part number for the correct rag to use, to avoid having shards of thread from an incorrect rag damage the transmission.

Sure do wish I could post my latest power steering fluid change.
