brand of oil?

Griever423 07-06-2014 10:49 PM

Why would you blur out the oil brand?

I would rather not say.

Reaper 07-07-2014 12:24 AM

Then this contributes NOTHING to the community.

Would you feel better PM'ing me? I'm about to switch oils Friday and am curious.

Reaper 07-07-2014 12:32 AM

My guess is mobil 1 but the insolubles and moly arent right.

Dan@AWD 07-07-2014 12:53 AM

Why even bother sharing this? This is useless without knowing the oil used.

husker741 07-07-2014 01:04 AM

Ummm guys... Is this CJ Sporl?

Random, weird threads. And he was trying to do oil crap with his car.

husker741 07-07-2014 01:06 AM

Upon further inspection, I'm 90% sure this is that kid. He said he's 18, doing oil tests, asking stupid relationship advice. This has to be him.

Reaper 07-07-2014 01:07 AM

I'm still betting mobil1 with some crap snake oil in it. Looks terrible. Should have used amsoil.

Actually no I'm not him but this oil report is from cjsporl. He is on bob is the oil guy forums and he posted this report in the UOA section of the forums. I was just curious of what you thought of this oil he is using. It's called quantium blue.

Ohhh, so it's just a coincidence that both of you are running 11 psi on a Vortech blower? Uh huh...

Many of us are running vortech kits with the 3.125 pulley. Why can it not be a coincidence.

Because the evidence is just too easy.

i admit it is odd, but I also laugh at the word evidence when talking on the internet.

It's hard to believe there are that many WRB BRZ's pushing 11 psi on a Vortech blower, doing oil research.

How would you know anything about the color of my car? And I don't honestly know much about cjsporl other than of the prom thread. I must say their aren't many words to describe that thread. But to end that I suggest we stay on topic with this thread. It would be unfortunate for it to be locked over something dumb.

Uh, you posted a pic of your car's wheels in one of your threads and I saw part of the car.

Keep on keepin on, brah. Enjoy your stay before you're banned again for threatening the website.

Reaper 07-07-2014 03:14 AM

keep this thread on topic? youre the one that posted a used oil analysis with the used oil blurred out. whats the thread topic again? and how does it benefit the community?

Reaper 07-07-2014 03:22 AM

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=105 this doesn't really belong here but jack D said it does.

I posted a thread about a UOA. It helps the community decide if this oil is good for our car or not. I told you who makes the oil and I link the thread where I got the UOA from.

This is not a 5W-30. For that matter, it's not a 7.5W-27 either since "27" is not a grade defined by the SAE J300 and I very seriously doubt the cold cranking viscosity was tested between -5C and -35C as defined in the ASTM D5293 cold cranking viscosity test.

I can't believe Blackstone is recommending to extend the interval. I don't think I've ever seen insolubles that high. Molakule in the bitog thread FTW (he's an oil blender)!

Original Quantum Blue thread:

Oh snap, I didn't realize CJ was banned from this forum.

Here's another bitog thread by CJ asking advice about which oil to run. I told him to check this forum. :bonk:

Why didn't you just start the thread by saying that you found this uoa on-line, and it's not your car, but you wanted to share the information? You still could have added some detail without giving information about the particular oil.:bonk:

What oil for a Ford Model A?

Khorne 07-07-2014 02:22 PM

Sooo what's the point of this thread, advise? If you were sharing another viable oil you wouldn't of blured it out then tried to hide what it was.
You should keep running it for abother 30K at least, the car emmiting smoke and metal is good and helps with the 14 year old ladies.

King Tut 07-07-2014 02:54 PM

OP, what oil is preferred by 13 year old girls?

sklimo 07-07-2014 03:01 PM

Not CJ guy.

Now I don't believe you

I was banned from bitog for using Sustina. This punk cjsquirrely gets to post there about his Quantum Physics brand motor oil 2.75W 33.333 grade.

(Let's see if Rocket defends him.)

Rocket, you are so busted. You even post in the same voice as cjsquirrely.

bitog is dynamite. You get MolaKule, who invented motor oil. You get cjsquirrely.

There was once a thread where Dyson explained the procedure for wiping off your ATF dipstick, when checking your fluid level. I think Mercedes Benz has a part number for the correct rag to use, to avoid having shards of thread from an incorrect rag damage the transmission.

Sure do wish I could post my latest power steering fluid change.
