Blue series ?

MrBlaze-65 07-03-2014 09:33 AM

it's got the red calipers of a blue series so I would say yes. Unless they decided to fully wrap a used/modified one.

Why would you have upset me? It was just plainly obvious what car it was and if you were unsure a 5 second google search of brz blue edition would have confirmed what you think you saw. No offense meant, its just if you weren't sure wouldn't it have been easier to look it up then ask.

AVodka14 07-03-2014 10:32 AM

I like the wheels.

Jmonty 07-03-2014 10:36 AM

Two special additions showed up at the dealership as my wife outback was getting service.

Turbo95eg6 07-03-2014 11:57 AM

OP in case your buddy didn't know, these have been out for a couple weeks…

husker741 07-03-2014 11:59 AM

The one at the Subaru dealer near me is stickered at $33k. No way I would ever pay that.

They are in Florida already? $33k is way too much for a Series.Blue. Even more so for a BRZ.

krayzie 07-03-2014 12:20 PM

Funny only the rear spats are installed. So they put on the front lip and side skirts during PDI? Probably pre-drilled tho so straight forward.

hanabie 07-03-2014 12:20 PM

I don't see side skirts and front lip???

That's why I went with Heuberger. Absolutely no BS. I don't have the time or the patience to deal with salesmen asking 3-4k over MSRP for one of these. If I was going to spend $33k before taxes I definitely wouldn't be buying a BRZ.

football751 07-03-2014 12:23 PM

New to the forum and just picked mine up last night :D They just started showing up at dealers here in Texas, mine had 2 Series.Blue (one blue, one white) and a Limited (white) arrive on Tuesday. Sticker was $30,859 which included one of the "packages" with wheel locks, carpet mats, rear truck plastic mat, and rear bumper applique. Here are some pictures of it in my driveway. First manual I've ever owned, so I'm still working out the clutch and getting into 1st without stalling, but a lot of fun all around!

Yeah! When I bought mine I refused to leave the lot until they had removed every single bit of free advertising that they stuck on my car.

x1UP 07-03-2014 12:33 PM

That is awesomeeeee.

Also, I agree with @Rota, that's why I went with Heuberger as well. Curious, any updates from them?

Yeah the dealer badge will be coming off pronto, and the dealer license plate surrounds as well as soon as I get my permanent tags. Other than that I plant to leave it stock for a while. I've dropped a lot of money in my FJ Cruiser and I'm glad I drove it for about a year stock before I started modding so I could get a feel for the truck. Plan to do the same thing with the BRZ. If y'all have any questions/want pictures of the Series.Blue let me know.

Hey football751 I am from the College Station area as well. Nice car, they are fun to drive. I also got my car from the same dealer and one of the first things I did was take off the License plate frames and will do the badging soon it personally just takes away the from the look of the car to me. Any way awesome car.

FiRStsc10n 07-04-2014 09:30 AM

Technically since OP is Canadian, it is the Aozora Edition. Not sure if differences between Series.Blue. Haven't kept up to date with BRZ editions or axing rumours.

No differences really. They are both the same model and trim, just called differently in Canada and the US.

B-R-Z 07-04-2014 01:29 PM

Front license plate mounted into bumper and dealer sticker on rear. Dealerships suck, they should know not to do this stuff on an enthusiast car. I told my dealer to not lay a finger on it when it rolled off the truck and fortunately they listened. They left the white plastic on the outside as well as clear plastic on the wheels/seats etc, no dealership marketing (besides rear plate frame which I was ok with), and no front license plate mounting. I was very happy.

deucethemoose 07-04-2014 01:41 PM

Sorry that the dealer ruined your car right out of the gate with a license plate frame and dealer badge.

The badge can be removed, but the license plate frame REALLY sucks.

powerj2 07-04-2014 03:59 PM

when i bought my frs, the salesman said i wouldnt want that stuff on my car so im not going to put it on yours!

exE36M3 07-04-2014 04:14 PM

I've owned a Miata (street - supercharged), two E36 M3s, and now the BRZ.
I'm personally a handling fan versus HP.

I test drove the 2014 WRX STi last summer and recently the 2011 EVO to compare as well as the BMW M235is

STI - Nice car, good power, but horrid, horrid steering response. It's really vague.
You aren't sure where the passenger tire is when you are corning. The EVO... you can almost feel each tire turning as you drive.
BMW M235is - Is literally THE BRZ in luxo-mode with a Twin Turbo 6

I am sure the 2015 WRX and STi's are better, but new car excitement aside...

2015 WRX - If it's only incrementally better I'd save the money and go BRZ with a Supercharger
2015 STi - Go to the BMW M235i or at least test drive one... :)

I'm not brand hating - just opinion-ating about other cars out there for similar dollar to fun ratio.

PeterK 07-04-2014 04:47 PM

Is the handbrake correctly adjusted - the gaiter looks very tight?

Completely random but those tips do not stick out like others with JDM tips do.

No the new 2015 tips are shorter. The JDM tips never came to North America due to restrictions on the tips extending beyond diffuser. They finally found a way to make them shorter and ditch the Forester tips.

Yup. It's a law apparently.
