looking for fastest n/a frs

Hey guys, Ive been all over the web looking for the fastest qtr mile time for a n/a frs. 14.4 is the fastest Ive seen there has to be a faster time than this with this car.. If you say you have a 13 sec frs n/a have a video and time slip to back it up.. lol

Your help in searching for the fastest frs n/a is appreciated!!!!!

@Bahraini86 broke 13s
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54653

I think there might be another out there as well.

FRS Justin 07-02-2014 11:32 PM

I wonder what octane his pump gas is? I just don't see how a 91 or 93 octane fuel is going in the 13 when e85 is in the low 14s... his 60 foot is amazing.
Is that track going down hill? look at the end where it goes flat????

FlamingRectumSyndrome 07-03-2014 12:17 AM

What's the point of quarter mile times for a car that's designed to have, well, adequate power but outstanding handling at an affordable price? You can choose any two of the above, but you're not going to get all three.

Vracer111 07-03-2014 12:17 AM

I'd imagine an LS powered one would be the fastest na FRS/BRZ... corvette power in a much lighter package with better chassis.

Very possible with a good driver... I saw a FR-S with only 165WHP (Only had Intake manifold spacers) did 14.7 in the 1/4 mile with an incredible driver, on the stock primacy's

Reaper 07-03-2014 01:00 AM

Small slicks, e85, header and a great driver I could see 14.0 maybe sub on a perfect planets aligned day. I'm in for results.

No not at all, I'm more into the straight line so I wanted to know how others are doing. I don't care about being the fastest or the slowest. It seems to me that everyone is going f/I and no one really is talking about n/a anymore on et's. I will help anyone who asks about my setup or how Im doing it. I always keep my ego in check and challenge others to do the same....

shishand 07-03-2014 04:49 AM

You bought the wrong car for straight line racing

I think I have the right car for straight line, auto-x or just cruizin.
I'm not looking for a 9 second car I'm not looking to go f/I maybe later not right now. I'm just wanting to push this car to its max performance as a n/a car.. I believe in mastering what you have. For the last time if I wanted a top fuel dragster I would have bought one. I'm looking for a fun car that's dependable handles awesome and is quicker than stock trim.. And that's what I have... Also lets get back to my original question... I mean no disrespect shishand

There lies the reason you can't get into the 13's

Nitto 555R vs Stock primacy's

Yeah I have to agree watching that vid you lose a bunch in your 60' due to spinning the stockers. I would not recommend doing a burnout on the stockers as they are just going to get greasy, not grippy. I *would* recommend dropping the tire pressure significantly though.

Have you taken any weight out or are you still stock other than E85 & Exhaust?

You could do lightweight pulleys, LiFePo battery, lightweight flywheel, driveshaft, pull the spare and tools, "rear seat" delete...That'd drop in the neighborhood of 100 lbs and have near zero effect on daily drivability (depending on how light you go in the flywheel department will have the greatest effect here).

Mossyjaw 07-03-2014 11:57 AM

It would be great if this motor came in more cars in n/a form. I had a 1990 integra with the b18. honda must have made a million b18's over its life span and there ended up being all kinds of cams and intake manifold setups if you wanted to go n/a and it was affordable stuff.

the car was complete spare and all Ive been staying away from a car diet but I agree on your logic, time to pull the spare for a few passes

jadewbj 07-04-2014 05:12 PM

Nitto NT555R is a drag radial, that is the reason.

swpbrz 07-04-2014 11:42 PM

Who cares? This is braggy bs that is going to ruin cars in the future. Were gonna have drivrless steering and people are just gonna be quickest to stomp the pedal. Bragging about how much work there car does for them. Damn this crap makes me biter.

I'd say he bought the wrong car for flat straight texas. This car is very specific to certain terrain.

Give me one reason to buy this car over a 'stang in flat country? There ain't one.

Where I live there are hairpin turns every 100 yards but if I lived in west texas I' be driving American muscle.

After owning American muscle for years I decided to try the import scene. Have you ever beat American muscle with a 4cyl ride??? I'm sure it will be rewarding lol
Point being I wanted a change. v8s are ez to go fast with and the challenge of creating a import to compete will be a fun journey...

With just a E85 tune and exhaust I think that's doing something. This thread is for N/A Stock engine FRS/BRZ You can find faster ones in the F/I section of this forum. Peace

TRD griffon concept 86. Did Tsukuba in 58.4. Sounds like a pretty quick N/A set up to me.

What header are you using? Great Run by the way!

FRS Justin 09-28-2014 05:00 AM

It's a PPE header. Thanks for the praise brother. Went back to the track today and ran 13.90 in 91% humidity. I just couldnt get out of the hole like Wednesday night, the track got slick.
This tune is rock solid!!!!! I do plan to do some remote tuning with William Knose at Delicious Tuning, if a map off the shelf does this just think what the car will do when Delicious Tuning Tweaks it a little.

Very impressive ! :respekt: looking forward to any updates

FRS Justin 09-30-2014 07:28 PM

The guys at PPE are super cool there customer service is outstanding not to mention the headers actually work. Ive tried other headers but make the most power with PPE on a dynapac dyno at HCAR in San Antonio.
