Spokane/CDA meets?

Any meets, cruises, or install days coming up this summer? I'm finally getting my weekends back and would be cool to meet some of you guys! I've met and made good friends during my Honda days and I have a feeling it'll be the same with some of you local 86/BRZ guys.

We should definitely organize something. A cruise July 19th or 20th?

myusernameisrob 06-19-2014 12:09 AM

I'd be down if it wasn't Formula D weekend. You going?

Freeman 06-19-2014 12:27 AM

Nah, that's the weekend after I get back from tuning at drift office. My next free weekend is June 28 and 29

For you guys on the other side of the mountain https://www.facebook.com/spotoc

myusernameisrob 07-28-2014 02:32 AM

Have you guys driven up the Fernan touge past CDA?

Much twists. Very smooth. Such drift. Wow.

Freeman 07-28-2014 06:20 PM

Rob, you coming on the group cruise next weekend?

myusernameisrob 07-29-2014 02:52 AM

Is it this weekend or next?

Where exactly is this? I am always looking for new touge routes especially since they seem hard to find around here..

take I90 east and get off at the Sherman Ave exit. take a left under the interstate. Follow that road. It was recently redone a few years ago and is in great shape. Downside is the 25mph speed limit.

Alternatively you can stay on I90 east and get of at the wolf lodge exit (think the scenic highway is 97, i dont look at the signs). at the stop sign at the end of the ramp take a right and follow that. itll follow the lake down to Harrison. drove this one today

If you are mindful of the blind driveways, the road that goes around Hayden lake is a lot of fun.

If you start wearing those out, there are some great roads south of here that can really let you enjoy your car.

plenty of great roads near by (relatively) if you know where to look. i am never in the right vehicle when i drive them

Obviously im local so feel free to pick my brain for other roads.

Maybe we can get a meet and drive going in the spring/summer. ill be hopefully picking up a BRZ from Parker Subaru in the march/april. no point buying it now to shove into the garage with winter upon us.

while im lucky and have driven some of the best roads in the country, its alwas been in a lifted pickup truck on offroad suspension sans sway bars....so i havent been able to fully play on the roads.

I have only heard good things from the Parker dealerships in ID. One place I can say with confidence to avoid is the damned Autonation Subaru in spokane.. They are literally the worst place to deal with on the planet.

Good to know! I've always had good luck with Parker Toyota. I'm curious how much the Subaru entity follows in their foot steps. I have some strings I can pull at Toyota, not sure if the string is long enough to reach the Subaru dealership though.

m3bassman 02-19-2015 01:15 AM

anyone else hit up the autocross in Deer Park?

m3bassman 03-11-2015 02:49 AM

oh come on, ive seen some of you brought em out of storage....

myusernameisrob 03-11-2015 04:38 AM

I've been having fun with mine since getting sticky tires and suspension!

There's also been a few more twins cruising on the streets ever since the weather's been good.

It feels so good to be driving the car again. Even if it is just the weekends and evenings. Thanks to the weirdly short winter we had...

Freeman 03-11-2015 12:17 PM

What do you guys think about an april meet and cruise?

myusernameisrob 03-11-2015 12:38 PM

I'd be down for April. I'm actually wanting to do a FF7 meet and drive.

Have you gotten a chance to pick up a twin yet? @m3bassman

Freeman 03-11-2015 01:09 PM

This saturday there's a meet in spokane at Teir 1 imports at noon.

Sunday the local Toyota club is having a meet at Ron's burgers in spokane valley at 3pm.

I did. Bought a red brz at the beginning of February. Put 3000 miles on it already. Great car.

April 12th is the autocross in deer park. Be cool to see some other 86s one of these weekends.
