Grip/Drift @Grange Motor Circuit July 12th

http://www.dreamersoul.tv/dreamer-so...uly-12th-2014/

After having a successful private event last Friday, we’ve finally decided to open this event up to the public. We picked Grange Circuit because it’s affordable, not too far far from civilization, and because it’s a very technical tight course with 14 turns, great for practicing and teaching driving techniques for grip as well as drift. In addition, we can offer a LOT of track time and less traffic by capping the maximum drivers at 20 cars max!

If you’re interested in an affordable event where you can practice or learn from our experienced drivers, don’t miss this one!

Where: Grange Motor Circuit in Apply Valley, California

When: July 12, Saturday, 2014 from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Event Features:
• 20 Entrants Max for MAX TRACK TIME and MINIMAL TRAFFIC
• Gather 4 people and have your own private run group
• Passengers OK
• $70 Entry per car
• Share 1 car with a co-driver for an extra $40 (email michael@dreamersoul.tv for more info)
• There will be a drift run group(s)
• There will be a grip run group(s)
• Free Drift / Grip training sessions
• Free Helmet Rentals when necessary

Requirements:
• DOT Approved Helmet
• Seatbelts or Racing Harness
• Car must not leak fluids (oil/water/brake fluid, etc.)

Track Features:
• 14 turns
• 8/10 mile
• Elevation Changes
• Concrete Curbs on inside turn radius
• Concrete Rumple Strips at run-off areas
• 25-feet minimum run off for safety
• Single & double row hay bails all around the track. This is a very safe track.
• ~1:15 lap

You can sign up by sending us $70. If you would like to share your car with a co-driver, your co-driver only pays $40. If you do the math, that’s $110 for two drivers in one car. Not bad! Contact michael@dreamersoul.tv if you’re interested in signing up with a co-driver.

@rb6freak @jebuwh @Moetivegt86 @SmsAlSuwaidi

jebuwh 06-16-2014 05:43 AM

I like it. I'm in as long as I have no scheduling conflicts. Sounds awesome.

jebuwh 06-16-2014 06:07 AM

So do you know the guys throwing this? We definitely need an ft86club grip run group.

one of them found me on instagram and invited me to their private track event a few weeks back unfortunately I couldn't attend due to car issues. But my car is ready now! They seem like cool people from the conversations I've had so far.

I'll be there in a white frs that will likely be very dirty.

rb6freak 06-18-2014 05:32 AM

Already registered for the event ;-)

jflogerzi 06-18-2014 11:32 PM

Signed up! Will be there in my FRS.

Touge86 06-19-2014 01:54 AM

Signed up ^_^

LXXXV1 06-20-2014 08:17 PM

Myself +2! Maybe a 3!

rb6freak 06-20-2014 08:30 PM

Who in the crowedis grip or drift? Looks like we'll have enough 86's to go in our own groups.

I'm grip with @midnight23

jflogerzi 06-20-2014 08:34 PM

Is it either or? I would like to do both. Learning how to induce a controllable power slide on the track once in a while would be fun!

midnight23 06-20-2014 08:55 PM

You can do both. I will try drifting for the first time as well. One of the drivers there will give free instructions for those who want.

midnight23 06-20-2014 08:59 PM

8 spots left

jebuwh 06-21-2014 01:48 AM

Dang it. I need to sign up haha. I've been lazy.

Ocean-Grown 86 06-21-2014 08:01 PM

I'll do both drift and grip.

Come on man. You said you'd try and join us sometime. So come. Tons of track time! Call Moe too, get him to join.

jebuwh 06-21-2014 09:43 PM

I want to go! I just took a new job. I'll see what I can do. I legit want to though. Gotta see how fast that turbo really is haha

anyone who has signed up already should have received an email from michael@dreamersoul.tv regarding your start of the day grouping choices, if you have not received this please email him. I chose #1 to start

Ocean-Grown 86 06-30-2014 04:00 PM

Will anybody be bringing tools? Like a jack, breaker bar, and torque wrench?

midnight23 07-01-2014 04:56 AM

i dont have a breaker bar but i can try to fit the lo pro jack and torque wrench in my car, i'm taking an extra set of wheels with me so i'm not sure if it will fit, i'll test it out sometime this week and see.

LXXXV1 07-01-2014 03:03 PM

I can bring a pair of craftsman stands...might be able to borrow my roommates jack/torque. If not, I can always help you bring yours there @midnight23. This is Calvin btw, I met you at the Genome premeet. Lol seeing that we're both local to OC, wanna set up a caravan while we're at it? My caravan consists of 2 FR-S, a WRX, and a TSX so I'm sure the WRX will have plenty of room.

Edit: I will have a jack, not sure how "low profile" it is but it'll work for most cars.

If you can keep up :burnrubber:

jflogerzi 07-03-2014 11:18 PM

I got some jack stands and a some what functional harbor freight torque wrench that I can bring to break wheels if they are around 90FTLBs. My Jack is weight to heavy to bring to the track :)

midnight23 07-04-2014 03:42 PM

Attention: M. Sherman and E. Makarov, either of you guys on here? Please check your email and reply to the one regarding run groups. Much appreciated, happy holidays!

rb6freak 07-11-2014 12:06 AM

Where's everyone coming from? I'm taking the 241 to 91 to 15 route if anyone wants to caravan. If anyone else is taking the 91 we can meet off 91 Green River Road, Chevron to the left. Let me know.

midnight23 07-11-2014 12:19 AM

1744 west katella ave, orange 6am sharp if you want to caravan. we will meet up with @rb6freak right after and then head straight there.

jebuwh 07-11-2014 01:14 AM

I'm so bummed I can't go! I'm jealous.

Me and my +2 will meet there! My 3rd should meet somewhere off the 15, near the 10.

Bringing a jack, a pair of stands, and a misc. tool kit.

I'd probably lean on a no...it's low enough for a stock frs, maybe one that's lowered by 1", but that's probably pushing it.

What the heck are you guys swapping around at the track? If wheels, you have a scissor jack in your car and for torque, one stomp with foot is about 80lbs. Scissors jack goes really low.

Drift wheels. I also plan on ditching the tools and spare at home

You can leave all that in pit area with your wheels. Its in the middle of no where and its just us who paid for track time and staff. Whatever you guys want to do though.

Just an FYI to all we're expected to be ready for drivers meeting at 8am, all ready.

jflogerzi 07-11-2014 10:56 AM

They will have helmets there correct. Is there any shade there for us in between runs? Will there be food for lunch? Becuase its going to be hot what's the dress code?
