seems well built; for those who don't know Lachute, they are a very solid company specialized in subaru vehicles, in business for years and with great success in motorsport.

essentially, 315-325 bhp, $6999

Looks interesting.

You're looking for the Forced Induction sub-forum.

Looks like most of the other front high mount turbo setups other than the fact they REALLY like flex joints. I don't think that turbo is clocked in the right direction either, haha.

TMIC? I agree it seems a little odd.

Boss Paco 06-13-2014 12:16 PM

Maybe it's the traditional Subaru location behind the motor?

Definitely not.

Interested to see what a Canadian company has for us. My curiosity has been peaked

grostoine 06-13-2014 12:42 PM

I've seen the kit myself and the turbo is clocked that way.

Does it run a 90 degree silicon coupler off the turbo to take it towards the driver side headlight?

Who needs intercooling? Shove that air right into the intake manifold and run straight methanol fuel like a real man!:D

mxsled 06-13-2014 01:25 PM

it's a front mount intercooler

I'm not seeing $7k.
MAF flange location looks iffy, turbo clocking is funky, joints are mediocre, welds look mediocre..
EDIT: It doesn't cut the crash beam, which is a plus. There are only a couple kits that maintain the crash beam integrity.

If I were dropping $7k, it would be on PTuning. But, that's just my opinion. :iono:

mrk1 06-13-2014 10:46 PM

I like what they are going for, routing wise.

boredom.is.me 06-13-2014 10:48 PM

This is exactly what we needed!

Hm.. hard to see from this angle, but I wonder how accessible the oil filter is, and if there's room for a sandwich plate for an oil cooler.

King Tut 06-14-2014 01:02 AM

Just another Full Blown clone. Looks like they tried to mount the turbo as close to the engine and belts as possible versus Full Blown trying to mount it as far away as possible and closer to the radiator though. I would buy from LJ @FullBlown .

grostoine 06-14-2014 01:10 AM

IMO the PT tuning kit is a really reasonable choici. Turbo is far from anything that need to be cool. It has a lot of pinping tho...

jebuwh 06-14-2014 01:51 AM

7k? For 315 to 325 bhp? Jeez. Seems a little pricey compared to all the other options out there...

That was my first thought too. Flex joints everywhere, even on the dump tube.

protpibe 06-14-2014 02:07 AM

Damn Quebeccers and their french..

One part that caught my eye was this:

Un réservoir et une pompe de remplacement pour le liquide "lave glace".
Roughly translated, I think that means replacement washer bottle and pump. I hope they sell that separately. Looks much beefier than the Vortech setup

The intercooler looks kinda small

You think this ones a clone, check out the kit CX racing is apparently coming out with. No body is getting creative anymore.

I hear flexjoints on exhaust manifolds are ALWAYS a good idea... or was that the other way around.

cdrazic93 06-14-2014 04:05 AM

I agree that theres alot of clones out there, but you can only mount a turbo in this engine bay in only a limited number of ways.

That being said, I would like to see moar low mount turbo setups plez.

D K 06-14-2014 04:36 AM

Another top mount

Piqued

xwd 06-14-2014 02:29 PM

It's a turbo kit. I think they went with some alternative routing to keep the air filter in a good spot, but it makes things a bit convoluted. If you don't want to cut the beam, I'd go with FBM or P&L. They are proven kits and available for much cheaper.

Fear 06-14-2014 09:10 PM

i'd NOT buy this kit, and <nothing>

kbye 06-14-2014 10:31 PM

Seems like a lot of unnecessary flex joints. Wouldn't it move around too much?

dabocx 06-14-2014 10:36 PM

I really want to see some one do a low mount turbo with a v mount rad/FMIC but theres no way that would work would ditching and cutting half the front of the car.

The rad would go on the top of the V and the fmic on the bottom part allowing for really short piping to the fmic and manifold length since the turbo is also bottom mounted

Fear 06-14-2014 11:46 PM

V-mount FMIC/Radiator?
