Park Place selling supercharged FR-S for $35K?!

I love to browse at Park Place (in Bellevue) online and put together my fantasy car collection. They always have cool stuff.
I just noticed a new arrival: a 2013 FR-S with an Innovate supercharger, wheels, tails, and some other mods. Maybe somebody on here traded it in, I dunno. Nice car.

But what do you guys think? Isn't that pretty much paying full price for the mods from a dealer on a used car? I just was shocked at an FR-S for that much dough but maybe it's worth it.

Park place always overpriced their cars. Never buy from there.

bodayguy 06-10-2014 11:00 PM

Well, listed prices are not the same as sell prices ...

Touge_ninja 06-11-2014 12:45 AM

actually it is. also depends on certain factors such as ACV or actual cash value that the dealer paid for the vehicle at time of trade in. also they base the prices on what a similar vehicle sold for at a different dealer or the auction.

Someone's inquired about that car, and subsequently taking it to me to get it "tuned right." I politely refused, and he's apparently starting off with a used stockish one instead.

My 2 cents!

I don't know. I didn't ask. Only said that I won't be tuning in since I made a promise not to do anymore Innovates that's all. It could be perfectly fine for all I know! :)

good point.

bodayguy 06-11-2014 03:28 AM

Actually, I think their pricing has gotten worse just over the past six months. Not sure why, I mean I know they always price premium and not at "It's a steal!" - but I wonder if it's not near the sell prices they are getting. I mean, they are selling a Boss 302 right now for more than it cost new, which is stupid.

wrohdejr 06-11-2014 03:30 AM

Why buy someones headache!!!

It's appropriate for Bellevue IMHO (Not stupid business practice at all). If some idiot will pay it, I would ask premium prices also. People with money are not necessarily smart.
Example: people shop at Nordstroms before they shop at Nordstrom's Rack. Same expensive shit, yet half the price.

I will never deal with Park Place again if I don't have to. They've consistent let me down in terms of customer service and are downright rude at times. I took my Exige in once to have the clutch replaced and they ended up forgetting to reinstall the transmission side engine mount. Amateur hour.

No, let's just say that it's not the most well put together kit out there. There's certainly better SC options out there for even money that won't put your motor at risk.

Saw a 350whp on Ebay for that price. Think it's a bit much myself, haggling room I suppose.

kioton32 06-19-2014 07:05 PM

That one was in an accident also... Airbag deployed... So it's not worth it at all. That is ridiculous.

1010110 08-01-2014 08:42 PM

This is actually my car for sale on consignment at park place. The price has since been reduced to $31,950 (I'm sure there is room for negotiation there). As far as the tune is concerned, it is tuned by @DeliciousTuning and is getting the latest update soon. Delicious Tuning is by far the most experienced tuners of the innovate supercharger kit. Regarding the accident the car was in, I was rear ended at low speed and the airbag was not deployed. Only the rear bumper was repaired. This is a mistake that I'm working to correct with carfax at the moment and should be resolved soon.

The reason I'm selling the car has nothing to do with reliability. In fact, before putting the car up for sale it had been my daily driver and I've had no issues. The reason I'm selling is because of a new baby and practicality. I don't really know what Bob is referring to as far as innovate superchargers putting your engine at risk since I've heard of very few issues on the innovate supercharger thread.

Nice try there buddy!

I didn't say anything to the effect of not being able to tune them did I? And I have, and that's why I won't do one again. The local peeps know the story, and I think it's been documented elsewhere within the pages here too.

For the money, that's got to be the worst bang for the buck given all the other FI options out there, so please feel free to not make your own interpenetration if you will will Mr. Knoose. :)

Unfortunately (I know well) even a low-speed bumper hit shows up on carfax and will affect value. That's just the world we live in. I'd be surprised if this sells for more than $27K.
Also, most folks around here can't take it to San Diego to have the tune checked.

1010110 08-19-2014 05:48 PM

A couple updates. First, I've updated to the tune to Delicious' 8.65 tune. Second, the carfax has been fixed to reflect that the air bag did not deploy when I was rear ended.
