Sac SCCA - Last 2014 Mather AutoX -June 28 & 29

Last AutoX of the year in Sac (Mather). The rest are in Stockton this season.

86s are putting on a respectable showing this year and just about every event someone asks me about the car and comments they keep seeing more and more showing up.

The 2 most popular classes for the 86 are STX which runs Sat afternoon/Sun morning and C Street which runs Sat morning/Sun afternoon.
Round 7: http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/Sacramento/Cup20147.htm
Round 8: http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/Sacramento/Cup20148.htm

Anyone else on here planning to come out for this?

I will be there onr of thr two days, just no idea until the week before on which one exactly.

Sypher 06-09-2014 01:04 PM

I'll probably be there Saturday morning. stupid header puts me in STX but i'll just run out of run group as i dont really care to try and win anything. (not good enough if I tried anyway lol).

AyJay 06-09-2014 04:01 PM

Yea, it's pretty easy to get yourself into STX class. I had to switch over to that class for a simple set of lowering springs. Oh well.

See you guys out there.

BunnyRZed 06-10-2014 11:41 AM

I'll be there both days. :burnrubber:

Thanks Sypher for pointing out the incorrect dates I posted in the title! Updated the 1st post in thread w/ date correction. Perhaps mods can fix the title.

If you go into Advanced edit for the first post I believe you are able to make the change.

I'm going to try to race Saturday morning before work... I will have to run in SM to do it though.

It doesn't matter run group you run in unless you're trying to earn points for the Cup.

It does matter, because last time everyone ran in the first two run groups on Saturday and it completely screwed up the whole day.

I really don't want to do the same thing that those people were doing, but I don't have a choice this weekend... Unless I just don't go at all and save my $50.

There has been times where I've shown up in the morning when my class ran in the afternoon and I still got my points for the class. If you are forced to go in the morning I'd still write in STX on my card.

If they ever decided to actually enforce their "no running out of group @ Mather" then you'll just be marked as being in "FR" (fun run) class. Can't imagine that'd be much different than running SM or any other group.

AyJay 06-25-2014 10:15 AM

Dam. U guys got me thinking I might wanna run in the morning too. I don't want to have to deal with the afternoon heat. I'd rather go home at noon-ish and jump in the pool.

AyJay 06-30-2014 10:20 PM

Just thought I'd share my fastest run from Saturday. Time was 66.1.

Still trying to get the car dialed in but I'm very happy with the progress. Felt like my runs from Sunday were better as I got to tweak the setup a lil more. Unfortunately, my GoPro ran outta batteries after my first run ... guess I didn't charge it like I thought.
