Sacramento area dealers

I am curious on what others have experienced price wise for the FRS or BRZ. I contacted Maita and he is adamant that his $1999 mark up is a deal since allocations for 2012 are all done, according to the sales guy.

Has anyone purchased one in Sac area can tell me how their experience has been.

Thanks.

Folsom Toyota has a first 86 car that the original buyer backed out on. You should check it out.

russv 05-23-2012 09:20 AM

Yuba City Toyota has 2 coming in. The sales manager said there would be a mark up but not how much. If you are interested shoot me a pm and I'll see if he'll give a decent price. Also check out Folsom, I know that 1st 86'er backed out.

HapaHaole 05-23-2012 01:46 PM

I saw on folsom lake toyota inventory for a blue one.. only if it was another color!!
I am not interested in buying one with mark-up, so yuba city will be out of the question.

HapaHaole 05-30-2012 12:50 AM

Has anyone gotten responses from the dealer? I have emailed all the local scion dealers with no responses!! I am getting a few desperate emails from the local subaru dealer still trying to say his $2K mark up is a deal.

I just called Elk Grove Subaru this weekend. I think they might have 1 pre order left and a couple of cars coming in the next couple of weeks. They are charging MSRP. Ask for ****son Yip and tell him that Danny sent you.

LOL
What was this supposed to be before the profanity filter?

I haven't figured out how to turn it off yet.

Did anyone from Elk Grove Subaru get their BRZ's yet?

Fly Guy 06-01-2012 02:29 AM

I went in to Folsom Scion to look at the Ultramarine FR-S. Love the color. I sat there for a while admiring it. Nobody acknowledged me and asked if I needed help.

I presume you're relatively high up on the first orders? Never got a call back for a long time :/

juicyjosh 06-01-2012 10:51 PM

Shady. Don't buy from them. Violating Nationwide Scion Pure Pricing has serious repercussions. I don't allow joyrides for non-serious ricers, and I don't mark-up. I protect these cars for my serious buyers.

Here's a picture of the Monroney sticker from a manual FR-S that I took yesterday at my dealership.

PM me for more information on this amazing car.

@Buggy51 Nope, I just got my spot this past weekend... I was calling around like crazy and lucked out. Where do you have your pre-order? I can send you my salesman's contact info if you want. He gave me a vin and Von after a couple days.

Hmm? I was with Elk Grove Subaru.

Around 3/4 on the waitlist I suppose. Dunno, called today and they didn't really have much idea when. So leaning towards July if I'm lucky lol.

Buggy51 06-24-2012 08:46 PM

Any update on shipments for anyone in this area?

Gaen 06-25-2012 12:53 AM

nothing yet.

Dpark27 06-25-2012 03:26 PM

Elk Grove got a WRB and SWP on the 19th. I picked up the SWP and someone else was there taking delivery of the WRB.

Gaen 06-25-2012 04:19 PM

yea that was suppose to be my wrb, but i opted out of it cause i didnt want all of the extra junk on it like chrome fuel door and and 1b package. instead they ordered me one with the configurations that fitted my needs! and told me 8-10 weeks (which would be near the end of july) which is fine with me as it will give me more time to save up some money!

Quantum 06-25-2012 04:34 PM

Just called D i c k son at Elk Grove and he's charging $3k dealer mark-up. No thanks, I'll wait until these stealerships are done screwing people over.

Gaen 06-25-2012 05:15 PM

really!? i was given no markup. i hope when the car comes and we sit down to sign i dont see a 3k markup......

Well done sticking to your guns
I hope you got the spec you are willing to pay for in writing, less they try it again.

Dpark27 06-25-2012 05:44 PM

When I talked to D ickoson, they have decided to charge markup on cars that weren't pre-ordered unfortunately. If you did get an order in though, it should be MSRP (which is what I paid). Hope this helps.

yea i was so excited when i put the deposit down for that car, but after a few days i thought about it and just kept thinking to myself i probably would mope about paying for a $79 sticker that goes on the fuel door! Also i wasnt a fan of the diffuser and the chrome fenders. this is going to be my 1st car purchase so i want it to be something i can live with with out having any regrets. plus if later down the road i want those extras i can easily spend that extra 1k for those parts on those subaru parts websites that keep flying around the forums.

also the only writing they gave me was in the email saying msrp no dealer markup. i probably asked to make sure and confirm it about a dozen of times that its msrp + no dealer mark up. but yea i should have gotten it in actual hand writing.

phew thank goodness!

Buggy51 06-25-2012 10:28 PM

Oh wow, glad to hear that people are at least getting their cars. Bit sad to hear they want to mark the non-preordered ones up.

GuySmily 06-26-2012 01:33 AM

Did anyone pick up the white BRZ at Shingle Springs Subaru? This car changed my color choice -I'll probably get white instead of WRB. It was sitting in the showroom last week. The guys there kept trying to sell it to me, but I'm not done with my mr2 yet.

Can see my car in the background.

Verge 06-26-2012 02:16 AM

Gaen 06-29-2012 10:50 PM

those who dont mind to long of a drive Hanlees Subaru of napa has a WRB limited for sale, but it looks like they have a 1k mark up

titusdrake 06-29-2012 11:20 PM

Did anyone on these forums pick up the Folsom Toyota FR-S? I believe the dealer only had it for a few days

Sorry, didn't see your post. There were a couple accessories (rear applique and 1-2 other things) but no "market adjustment" or anything.

My buddy did. Sorta. I think it was an Ultramarine MT? He had them swap with Vacaville or Fairfield for the Black AT he wanted. The sales guy got to drive both cars back and forth for the swap =p

Wow, my MRS makes it look kinda big.

If you want an FR-S, I had a great experience with Elk Grove Toyota. Ask for Russ. I was first in line and took home their first allocated FR-S. Pure Price minus $1000 military rebate. These guys were a pleasure to do business with. Did all that I asked of them (didn't drill front bumper), made sure no one else drove the car, no surprise dealer added accessories.

PMok 06-30-2012 03:02 PM

just called Shingle Springs, the white one they had is gone. The guy I talked to confirmed they were selling at MSRP but they won't be taking any more orders until around Aug or Sept.

btw nice MR-S GuySmiley.

GuySmily 06-30-2012 08:10 PM

Thanks PMok. I love this car. Haven't driven my buddy's FRS yet, so I still don't know if I'll like it better or not.

Evilbrz151 06-30-2012 08:21 PM

I pre ordered my SWP Subaru brz from elk grove Subaru about 2 and half months ago and picked it up 2 weeks ago with no deposit , no dealer markup and 0 money down. They do have ETA dates on all the cars and if your you have pre ordered your car there not charging markups only if someone backs out then they will charge a markup. With that said it was the best car buying experience ive had.

Went to Geweke Toyota in Lodi today (2hr drive from S.F.) and almost bought an MT Firestorm FR-S. Went on a test drive (already had 80 miles on it) and decided to buy it at MSRP. Got through a bunch of paperwork and about to finish up with the finance guy when the salesman tells me the car was damaged and repaired. He tells me the hood and grill were replaced, but would not give me specifics on how the damage occurred. Then he tells me they can't lower the price due to Scion's Pure Pricing policy (not that I would've bought it anyway). Unbelievable. 2 hour drive and was just about to sign the finance papers. Sad thing is, they'll do this dance over and over until some poor, desperate kid buys it. Anyway, at least I got a test drive out of it.
