Hey Everyone! There are a lot of BRZ'S and FRS' s cruising Southern Maryland so I figured maybe we could start us a little thread for local stuff and maybe organize some meet and greats. What do you think?

I don't think those of us in southern Southern Maryland consider the beltway to be Southern Maryland :) But that's ok.

I'm down. I know there's an Asphalt FRS in my apartments that doesn't seem to be on the forums, a Firestorm Monogram that's often spotted at Best Buy, a silver BRZ I've seen coming aboard Pax in the afternoon and possibly the same at the gym by Food Lion in Lexington Park, and a red BRZ that lives in the same parking garage on base as I do. I've also seen a white BRZ coming on base also but only at the gate.

Yep. There are a lot around. When we figure out a time and place for meet ups then we can figure a way to lure those in that don't follow the forums.

I'll be down at PAX with my WRB BRZ starting July 19th.

Well let's shoot for starting up something next month sometime and maybe make it a monthly thing. I won't be in town the weekend of July 26 though.

Week and weekends around 14 JUL I'll be out of town. I can throw down flyers on the three I see regularly that's easy :)

Way "back in the day" meets used to be @ the Target parking lot and/or Checkers.

That's not a bad idea. We'd be seen and there is food near by. I wonder if we have to get permission or just wingit.

I know we used to wing it. Had awesome turn outs as well. That was when street racing was a real thing around here, before Myrtle Point was developed, you could go out there for heads up races...or venture to Waldorf where the scene was pretty big.

Target lot toward Petco would probably work it's always wide open.

I'm usually avail on weekends; only because of international travel will I be gone when I said. I'm not sure when we come back as we're still formulating plans. We may end up switching our trip back to Aug at this point.

Do you want to do a meet this month and start a monthly thing?

There is still plenty of stuff that goes on around here; folks on SOMD.com forums complain all the time. Usually it's the coal rollers lately though. I don't want us to get a bad rep as to many folks the fact that we already are rolling in imports is a crime against society.

Saw an Ultramarine FRS on Liberty St Lexington Park this morning while I was out walking... That anyone here?

We should look at the owners registry and tag some guys too. I'll have a look later. My car will be going In the garage in a few week for some new mods. That will put her down for about a week.

It's up to you. Depends on if your willing to drive down to hang out. Doesn't matter to me where you are. There just haven't been any meets close to here so that's why I started the thread. You are more than welcome to come chill.

I'm in Gambrills, although I do travel a decent amount and my FRS is in the shop but as soon as she's fixed I'd love to have a meet!

I think we can try for this month to start it's only the 8th.

Saw a black FR-S parked on Long Rd. off 234 last night coming back from VA

I'm pretty much free every weekend now that I'm done with school so I'm down for whenever.

At the last meet I went to, a couple of the guys had 86 Mid-Atlantic decals made up. They weren't near as intricate though!

Yeah, when I saw that I went and found 'em. They were made a long time ago and don't seem to be available anymore. I found a place online though that can do this kind of thing for not too much $.

I also made this one - not sure how I feel about it yet though. Having difficulty getting the kerning right.

Ok folks - location and time...time. :D

Location:

What do we think of either the Target parking lot on the bank/Petco side, or the SAIC parking lot behind Red Robin / Olive Garden / Cracker Barrel? Or an alternative?

Time:

10AM or 1PM? Or an alternative?

I'm liking Target around 10 cause I can get Chick Fil-A while we chat and phobos512 can bounce to Baltimore at a decent time maybe with me in tow. Also we will get more exposure there from other possible owners that aren't on here.
