Recommendations on aftermarket head unit

Anyone who has replaced their unit .... I am looking for a new one

I had a JVC KWNT810 system in my old Jeep and really liked it. Gives you NAV, Sat, iPod, BT all that good stuff.

Personally I have the 2014 head unit but I have been looking at the pioneer app radio and I'm very tempted.

i just installed the Sony XAV602bt HU into the car was going to go with the 712 for a bigger display but the bottons were to small for my liking

I am torn between CaFi Dashlinq4 and App Radio 3. I want to use the head unit mostly for Pandora, Waze, maybe some Googling if I'm stuck somewhere and can't find the place.

CaFi is 600 including shipping, but it isn't really useful if your data plan doesn't allow you for data sharing (which I don't want to pay for). Its an awesome head unit, but not sure if it is worth the money, especially that it is coming from China and if anything goes bad, it will cost a lot to have it shipped back there.

Pioneer will require an iPhone or Android phone to have the apps running (and you have to have it plugged in).

Cafi is also perfect fitment for the car, while Pioneer requires mounting brackets.

Anyone can help with this dilemma? I'm leaning more towards AppRadio at the moment.

I didn't see this when I was shopping a few weeks ago. Have any pics installed?

I'm really liking it. Can the maps be used offline if you go with TomTom?

Sorry for the crappy photo. Its a 6" display and I love it so far, a few things that annoys me, like every time it turns on, it boots into Nav and if you cancel out while its loading, it will go right back into it until its finished loading

And I haven't used the GPS at all yes so I don't know the answer to that question

Thanks for the pic! Is there a GPS antenna included or no?

I just want a nice HU for NAV and Music, don't care about apps. I have all my audio stuff laying around while I wait to pick an HU :(

Are you using it with an iPhone? My BRZ has the stock Pioneer deck from 2013.

I kinda hate it. lol. Bluetooth connects realll slow, no sound when I plug in my iPhone into the USB although the screen shows it "playing", etc.

No. Last iPhone I used was the 3GS. Moved to Android and don't plan on going back to Apple products again. No issues with my Galaxy Note 3 on BT. Didn't have issues on the stock deck either. Looks like you're from Canada. . .they get a different deck than the US. I had a Fujitsu Ten FA601US unit.

^ Alpine is great man. .
A complete alpine component system is the best sound and it doesn't cost crazy either. Just to share, I have a 10yrs old Alpine HU pair up w/ 4-chan Alpine amps that run a complete infinity kappa perfect speaker systems on my other car. Man, it still has hi-end sound quality with years of use that I couldn't replace or update to a newer HU. Best quality in car audio. I'm still waiting for Alpine to come out a comparable unit by this summer so I can compare it to the pioneer 8000nex, then I will pick one.
