Getting OLD kinda sucks...
 

Turning 30 this year in a few months. My hair is thinning out faster then I can cut my hair. My body aches more when I run. dreading getting old guys. Sometimes I feel misplaced wanting to buy a BRZ when I am 30. Can't really hang out with them young bucks anymore because most of them can't even remember shows like Martin, Magnum P.I., Quantum Leap and so forth. Not to mention when you talk about the late 80's and 90's and the cars in that era.

On the plus size my income has gone up and my insurance is SO much cheaper. :thumbup:

We have senior citizens here.

I'm starting to see many seniors driving twins in my area, perhaps the same crowd that used to buy miatas. I was 30 when I bought my FR-S :D !

I was going to say!!! 30!? I just turned 32. I'm in better shape than I eve have been and doing better financially than I ever have! Only gets better, man! Keep your head up :thumbsup:

I turned 32 this year, I don't mind it at all.

I'm 19 and I feel old already, I could only imagine how I would feel about me turning 30..

I turn 30 this coming January. Definitely feeling it, but I like it. I feel more mature and "adult." If anything, 30 is where your life really begins, because your 20s are just extended childhood.

I am nearly 56 , but when i get into BRZ i am only 18.
These cars are so much fun , that they mess with my head.

I definitely wasn't looking forward to turning 30 either but I tried to make the best of it... I spent 4 nights in Vegas and bought an FR-S ;)

Just turned 24 on the 18th.. It's weird lol I'm engaged, out of college, making good money. I don't party except every now and then. I guess I grew up too quickly?

Lol, I gots a couple more years than you did. Made it to 28 before drinking had to REALLY slow down

I mean, I can still heavily drink, but I feel pretty crappy instead of mildly crappy, and that's enough to deter me a little since I don't like feeling unhealthy even though I am pretty unhealthy in general. I do a lot of faked handle pulls and then pretend like I'm more drunk than I really am, works pretty well. Definitely prefer just sipping a few glasses of something nicer though.

The day I can't get hammered anymore will be a sad day.

Aches and pain is all part of the landscape at this age.. Gravity is not your friend, staying up late and partying is also becoming a faded memory.. Lol.
I got Grandkids! One is 9 years old already.. Me with Grandkids? Still seems unreal..
Yet I still think and act like a kid.. I don't see myself as 60+
I still play video games, smoke pot and listen to rock and roll.. !
I have fun with the Grandkids and play with them on their level.. In fact I teach them bad words and get yelled at by their parents..
I've developed an attitude at this age that is priceless.. I don't give a shit what people think.. Family or friends.. I do what I want.. And I don't answer to anyone.. I'm financially independent and own everything I have.. House , cars.. Everything.. I have no bills or mortages.. I'm retired!! Left the workforce on my 55th birthday and never been happier!
So you see.. There is much to look forward to.. Life is funny like that.. When you lose one thing you value.. You gain something else that becomes important to you.. Wisdom from experience makes you see things differently..
So fear not young man.. You have much to look forward to.
Everything changes and you always find new joys along the way..
Hang in there.. Look forward to many years of new and better moments.. And don't dwell on what your losing or think is so important..

I am right there with you OP. Pretty scary because the thought of mortality seeks in. I guess the mid-life crisis is around the corner too? :)

Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional. I opted out.

I like to tell people that I'm not old, I've just been young longer than some.

I had a house built at 24 years old. That was almost 10 years ago.

30 is only old if you make it old.

I turned 30 this past February, and as a gift I bought myself an FRS. There's tons of people in my area in their late 20s early 30s driving these. Plus we have the supplied income to mod them a lot faster than the younger crowd without having to eat noodles for breakfast lunch and dinner. Look at it like that.

I'm with the folks who chose to never grow up. Wife and I are in our 40s. So what. We still go to car meets on a weekly basis and track our car with NASA. We ride sportbikes too. She has a GSXR 750 and I ride a CBR1000RR.
fun is fun, regardless of age. :)

I'm 31, I don't feel old at all. But sometimes my kids make me feel that way. The baby has been keeping me up till 2 or 3 a handful of times lately when he's refusing sleep, and I'm just like "oh god please go to sleep I neeeeed sleep!" When I was 18-22 we'd pull LAN party all nighters with video games, stacks of movies, and a case of dew and snacks.

I bought my FRS when I was 28 and turn 31 this August. I physically feel like I am 25 still and mentally feel like I am 18. As my brother told me "30s can be the best decade of your life if you play your cards right". I already feel that way. And there was no way my parents would have bought me a car like this brand new when I was younger. Therefore I went to graduate school and was able to afford one of these on my own. My buddy and I walked into a Walmart so he can buy some cigarettes. The lady needed to see my ID as well due to KY law. She mentioned how we are still babies. Enjoy and embrace your thirties. You will be in your 40s looking back at how unjust it was to feel old at 30.

maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan bought the whip a little over a year ago. I just turned 25. life sucks, I'm starting to get things like heart burn and dirty old man hairs on my back. High school Blake would kick my ass right now if he knew my life. IMO, I am glad I own this car at my age and can respect the level of maturity I show, rather than owning it at 18 and putting neon lights in it and racing everyone

I remember watching blackhawkdown back in highschool, how fast have time passed! Haha

Just turned 50 and been driving sports cars my whole life. Autocrossed with SCCA for ten years and now driving my Corvette at high speed track events. Your only as old as you let yourself think you are!...lol

I don't feel old or anything but at times in the Asian culture they expect you to be all mature and stop that racing and building of cars stuff. I just tell my spouse I don't give a F! Murica!

I was 38 before I realised I was getting on. Until then I was drinking and partying like I was 16. It was only when my father died that I realised I wasn't a child any more.
On a side/related note. I suspect having children changes one's perspective on life. I got snipped before I was married. I/we (wife and I) can carry on without concern for offspring. Responsibility? No thanks.

There are are only 2 options. Become older or die. I am suggesting there is no point worrying about it. I am not saying you have to like it, only accept it.
