Being that things seem a little spread out and considering I'd like to do 2-3 events a month (maybe more!), I decided to fire up a Facebook group with a friend. The group is for Greater Atlanta Area 86 Owners and can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1420589918206460/

Event Schedule:
July 6 - Caffeine & Octane
July 26 - Breakfast + Birmingham Big Meet
October 4 - Petit Le Mans

The goal is to have the following:
- Monthly Caffeine & Octane pre-meets (so we can get Egg McMuffins and park together for C&O)
- Semi-regular dinners (similar to what the Subie guys are doing here, maybe a little later in the evening for working folks fighting traffic?)
- Regular group drives to Suches and other fun places within an hour or two of town
- Detailing parties & photo shoots (I've got a lot of friends with shiny new cameras that want to build out portfolios)
- General shenanigans (beer tastings, road trips, the like)

Maybe we'll get four people, maybe we'll get forty - either way, there's an opportunity for some regular fun and making new friends, something that is surprisingly hard in a big city compared to my crammed Big10 (previous) social life. Everything is totally up for discussion, I'm just trying to get an organization tool in place. I.E. maybe we just join the Subie guys' dinners, etc.

Note: I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder or overlap. Just thought it'd be helpful to have a group for Atlanta-only 86 owners rather than relying on these forums and the much broader SE 86 group.

Ok my car is washed and looking super clean finally (dam the rain!) and I want to ride out somewhere! Where can we go TODAY!!!!?!?!?!?!

Had a fun, quick meet tonight - all told we had four cars, five owners and a girlfriend come along for food and beers at Taco Mac at Perimeter.

That said, be sure to jump into the 86 Atlanta group if you're an ATLien or within an hour of town - we have a lot of cool stuff coming up, including a morning rally/coffee event on SATURDAY in Decatur and a Suches/Wolf Pen Gap drive on MONDAY! Schedule is updated above.

REMINDER: Saturday Rally in Decatur is happening at 10:00 a.m.! I will arrive around 9:30 and head straight to the top floor of the parking garage at the corner of Trinity and Commerce (125 W Trinity Pl, Decatur, GA 30030). From there, we'll hang out and talk about our pretty cars and then go grab coffee and eventually beer/lunch. There will likely be a large festival going on, and the last time I was at one of these King of Pops AND Beer Ice Cream were out and about. Bring cash if you want knick knacks and fun stuff.

Additionally, Memorial Day: Suches/Wolf Pen Gap Drive is happening Monday. We will meet at the Chevron gas station just off 400 (address in event) with the rest of the supercar folks for fuel and pics around 9:15 a.m. If you're interested in driving up 400 with me, give me a buzz, I live just off Exit 6.

Fun drive - well until our GSP friend decided to spoil it. I was in the grey Cayman, but it was awesome seeing all the 86s show up. See you next time!

If we plan the next one for the first part of the month, I'm down. The end of the month gets super tight on cash for me :(. Damn this every 2 weeks pay.

Hello. It's been several months since I've posted on this forum. I got a bike and all my attention went to her for a while so I stayed away from car forums for a while. I've been thinking of getting an STi by the end of this year and selling the bike and the FR-S. A few biker friends of mine took me out and reminded me why I got a bike in the first place. I was wondering if my 86 buddies wanted to take me out and remind me why I got the FR-S. Save me some money haha. Eventually I need a four door for the inevitable mini me's roaming around this earth in the near future. But for now, let's go have fun in the 86s. I'm back ;)

Added Saturday's Meetup in Decatur to the OP - the first of many we will do on Saturday morning/afternoons. We will vary the time, location and occasionally the day so as many people can come as possible.

Updated with C&O and Birmingham meet. Most mountain drives will be impromptu from now on to limit the amount of cars that head up. Too many just gets too unwieldy.

So here they are, the official 'tagged' cards for the 86Atlanta group. They will be $1 for ten cards. I should be out to most of the meets. I will most likely give a few larger quantities to other active members to help distribute.
