What I will need from people is a

1. Order Date
2. Received shipment or not? If so, what date?

5/20/2014 - Looks like FT-86 SpeedFactory has had some delays in raw material, backorder status is now 3-4 weeks longer than originally quoted.

Placed my order on March 23rd. I was told wait time will be 6-7 weeks from now. Honestly, it could be double that time and I wouldn't care. The results of this header speak for itself and the guys at ft86speedfactory have been nothing but fantastic to deal with.

I ordered mine mid march 17th, not shipped yet --
I'm #35 in line though

Thanks for the line info. Got some other positions from people as well, looks like FT-86 SpeedFactory is getting orders from outside the forum as well.

Not shipped.

3/9/14 - not shipped.

As of today (5/20/14), orders are still delayed 3-4 weeks due to raw material delays. I was originally quoted a 6-8 week time frame, now looking more like 12-14.

I have not been contacted.

We're here, and working on these. Material shortages from suppliers who said they could keep up with the bends we needed and etc have fallen short of getting us some crucial parts. We have a solution and are moving forward should be kicking these back out soon plus even faster as the runners can now be bent in one piece and less welds used.

5/16/2014 - Not shipped yet

Cancelled my order (from March 7th) so you guys should be 1 person ahead now. I did order the UEL headers from JDL though.

with the new bends... are there new Dynos?

update -- i'm Numbah 20 as of 3 days ago!

If you have been following this thread you would see that parts are back ordered and there is about a three week delay (maybe two weeks now) before any more headers are made.

In the email that FT86speedfactory sent me on may 15th , they told me it would take approximatively 2 weeks to make . I didnt know they had a back order on the raw material.

Since some of us have a job, kids and parenting to do , I can't be on this forum every F'''ing day.

It seems the lead time is 12 weeks on these if ordered now... sorry, don't know how to quote/link to a specific post, but see post from ELutz04

Maybe, but I ordered in February and am now going on 16 weeks.

Was told that header production will be back up this week... roughly 5 weeks for mine to be ready, I'm currently 26th in line.

That means they're getting 5-7 out the door weekly??

That sucks... 16 weeks is not reasonable. I love FT86SF and have had nothing but good experience with them in the past, but I think this is a big shortcoming on their part, but also recognize that they must be the ones most frustrated by this.

They really need to do something to mitigate the impacts on their customers. There's just too much competition in this market for this to not have long term consequences on their shop. There's already quite a few people looking to JDL due to these delays.

They do have one thing no one else has... and that's a catted UEL...
