WANT

Franisco 07-06-2010 04:03 PM

Toyota kind of throwing us a bone here..

djohnson 07-06-2010 04:13 PM

Looks like they have the signals covered in the headlight closeup... I see 3 bulbs in there. Hi/Lo beams and signal perhaps? And I imagine it won't be long after they start rolling off the lot that somebody will mod what looks like an LED bar in the headlamp and tie it into the signals or put a strobe on it. Of course with a toggle switch inside.

neolusions 07-06-2010 04:14 PM

The car's even sexier under natural light...

TheRoadWarrior 07-06-2010 05:21 PM

I saw it there! Glad i've finally seen it in person. Its looks great, exactly as the pictures shown already make it appear.

I took lots of pictures, but tbh pretty similar to the ones already posted so i'll not bother putting them up.

They were also giving out nifty A3 size posters of the photoshoot in the hangar, I picked up a couple :)

great pictures! thanks for posting them

Am I the only one who noticed that the carbon fibre/plastic on the wheels doesn't actually touch the aluminum part?

toyofreak 07-06-2010 08:53 PM

I'm drooling already. Bring it to the US please!

Midship Runabout 07-06-2010 09:45 PM

Cool pics and all but damn I want something new to look at. We have all seen these same pictures before just different back grounds. :(

That part wont make production. If CF anyways. Hell I think it looks stupid anyways, but thats just me.

Also in pic 2, Girl looking at Tacoma to the left. Is she hot or no?

you are right on both counts

Siriusly.Andrew 07-06-2010 10:27 PM

thats when I'm supposed to ask

Theres a car in those photos?

Dimman 07-06-2010 10:34 PM

The more I see the wheels with the carbon 'stars' on them, the ricier it looks to me. First thing on the list to remove is the wheels, carbon thingies or not.

(And don't anyone tell me they're fans to cool the brakes...)

They are fans to extract hot air from around the brakes.

Hilux*

I was never really a fan of the carbon inserts. (Get it fan..) Even if they were functional, they look very ricer

Doty0588 07-07-2010 03:01 AM

I like them, I think I'm going to take them off and try to see if I can put them on the aftermarket rims I'm going to put on.

I personally think what appears to be a led strip will be the turn signal.

There is no way that a turn signal will be in the same area for the headlight as the light output from the hi/low beams will always overpower the yellow/whatever color they choose to use when the turn signal is in effect and that could pose somewhat of a hazard.

they already have a mirror set up with what appears to be a signal light in them

On a side note, are those sprayer nozzles?? I've been looking over the hood area and I def didn't recall seeing any (kinda miss the old school ones)

djohnson 07-07-2010 03:55 PM

I agree, they do look like sprayer nozzles.... Unless the hood is painted CF and flips forward. Then they may be locks instead of hood pins. Although hoods that flip forward wouldn't require locks/pins now would they?

If this thing has sprayer nozzles, it should have a damn gas door

I don't want a gas door, I want my car to run off of

or maybe static electricity (so then I can have an excuse to hump my gf in the car)

On a more serious side note, the more I see this car the more I want to jump inside and poke around its internals.

On a side note I think I just had my 1st car fantasy

It also gives you one of the best looks at just how small it is. Compare it to the people and the Toyota IQ in the back ground. The IQ almost looks taller than it.

S2KtoFT86 07-08-2010 08:02 PM

Tired of waiting. This thing needs to go ahead and come out.

MtnDrvr86 07-08-2010 10:46 PM

^^ agreed, not that I have the money since Im still in school at the moment.

Champion 07-09-2010 02:57 PM
