They come in a wonderful charcoal-grey that ranges from very dark to lighter shades depending on the light and are a great match to the OEM carpet.

:eyebulge:
Almost twice the price of WeatherTechs with less functionality and a big logo on them?

BRZNutt 05-09-2014 08:48 AM

Just curious. What's the difference between the FR-S and BRZ trunk that would require different mats? Also not a fan of the big red logo.

Zero difference they're same car basically. So ya.... I don't get that either.

Turbo95eg6 05-09-2014 01:34 PM

So works makes wheels and floor mats?

tennisfreak 05-09-2014 05:35 PM

HOLY SH!T $200 FRACKING DOLLARS!!??? :confused0068:

Grip Ronin 05-09-2014 11:28 PM

WORKS 05-14-2014 02:52 PM

We considered making lower quality floor mats that we could have sold at a lower price, but decided against it to instead go with a high quality replacement that is more durable and longer lasting than the OEM pieces. The motivation for this is that we have seen customers wear through OEM mats in as short as one year whereas our have lasted for over 5 years for some of our customers.

They are more durable and longer lasting due to a number of construction features such as 32 ounce per yard construction which is twice the weight and density of original equipment mats, 5/16" pile height, and 4 layer backing that includes a water-resistant layer to help block moisture and a heavy latex layer that creates stiffness for mat shape.

^That's correct. They are the same mats, but we have them listed separately in case we want to do any model specific colorways.

sdemo 05-16-2014 11:58 PM

I'd buy a set tomorrow if that logo was in Silver or Black.

WORKS 05-17-2014 12:08 AM

Here's how the mats look installed :) Notice that our mats utilize the factory anchor devices.

Let me mention a couple other things as well. The red stitching was inspired and chosen to match the red stitching and accents found in the factory interior pieces.

Our mats also have a broader coverage of the carpet than the OEM mats. You can see the difference in the photo below.

Okay, gotcha. Another member mentioned they weren't a fan of the red stitching as well. We'll look into it and see what we can do!

BRZNutt 05-17-2014 02:17 AM

Ok, after seeing them installed, I have to admit, they look pretty good. I like how they are larger than the stock mats and provide more coverage. These would be nice for the summer or special occasions when the Weathertechs are just a bit too much.

Wyattkb 05-17-2014 06:15 PM

Not bashing this thread, but the Weathertech mats are less and provide much more protection.

Weathertech is the easiest clean up too, just pull it out and hose it down.

Ok, great. Weathertech mats are plastic and feel like shit. They're great for SUVs or Trucks but completely ruin the interior feel of a sports car. Nothing beats the feel of carpet, and the carpet mats here look to be an impressive improvement over the stock mats.

Suggesting Weathertech mats in lieu of carpet is akin to suggesting a Miata for towing instead of a pickup truck.

Too each there own I suppose. My weathertech mats feels awesome. I track my car and use it as a DD, so it sees everything from oil, dirt, mud, you name it. At the end of the week I just pull them out and spray them down and there good as new.

Imo these mats are more looks over function when compared to the weathertech. If these mats don't show signs of wear under the driver side pedals after 6 months then I would say they are worth the price tag for someone looking to retain a OEM look over the functionality look.

I'm all for the carpet over rubber in my car BUT there has to be a way to get the price down.

Even with the increase in quality over stock I just cant see any reason these should be $200. $120, great. $150, OK. $200, too much.

I'll keep checking back for group buys or discounts.

1ofaKind 05-19-2014 11:57 AM

Thumbs up for some quality looking mats!

Damn, I would have asked for strippers and beer to be included if I knew it would be that easy to get you to change things up. I applaud you for listening to the customer and taking action. I might just have to pick up a set for special occasions...

These look awesome!!! I have been wanting a set of new floormats. I had Lloyds in my Camaro, I need something nice for my FRS!!! Buying these asap! Do you have photos of the different colors?

tennisfreak 03-31-2015 11:54 AM

These look nice and I need some floor mats really bad.

Price is super high though. $189 for a set????

Any chance of a sale or group buy?

twag4 03-31-2015 02:02 PM

I like them. With black embroidery, they'll look great. Agreed on price hurting, but a good buy judging by the apparent quality.

Thank you! No photos at the moment, unfortunately, of either the black or silver embroidery.
