Cool, nice to see it updated on the website, as for the engine, it is FA20, not 4U-GSE.
4U-GSE was only ever shown on some display at a car show in Japan, all official documentation from Toyota and Subaru both refer to it as the FA20. Also the picture for Galaxy Blue Silica on the Subaru list is of a Toyota 86. :) Jeff |
I changed the code for the Subaru to FA20, I'm waiting on my Toyota guy to check the official computer for the Toyota code before I chance that one.
Oops! I updated that photo. By the way, if anyone out there wants to obtain and scan international Subaru BRZ literature then I will add that to the site as well. |
I am a Toyota guy, I work at Toyota. Toyota refers to it as FA20 in all of their literature, including parts catalogs, repair manuals, owner's manual, everything.
;) Jeff |
OK, that is what I needed. Fixing it now.

I was a little bit surprised Toyota didn't assign any of their own codes to anything and just let Subaru use theirs, but these things happen I suppose. :)

I've only owned my FRS for about two weeks and yesterday a piece of my soul was badly raped when I accidentally scraped the bottom front lip of my Whiteout (37J) FRS while parking. I came from a 4Runner SUV so I'm still getting used to driving a low sports car (not even lowered yet!). My question is, do you know where I can find some touch up paint for Whiteout (37J)? I'm assuming the Toyota dealer should have some (heading there today). Any idea how much a small amount would cost?

Whiteout is a tricoat color, so I think you need two bottles.
http://www.toyotareference.com/scionfrs Click on the whiteout box in the color chart. |
Just added the 2013 German GT86 brochure to the archive.

I think the new color pallets will need be added Oceanic Blue and Ablaze red for 2016 and a note that Firestorm and Ultramarine are no longer in production after 2015, also possible removal/replacement of the YouTube videos because the person who uploaded them had their YouTube account deleted for some reason http://i.imgur.com/2C7m46e.png |

what's the difference between the two WRB paint codes? I swear subaru has more paint codes for WRB than every other manufacturer for all colors.
|
HyperBlue paint code is M3Y
