It also seems that a large number belong to former Honda owners.

I mean everyone can do as they please, but if you are gonna trash a car why not stick with yo Civics, RSXs, CR-Z and ect... no need to ruined a sexy FR-S & BRZ.

If it's not yours, who cares? If you really want to be cynical about it, you should be happy that it makes your car look that much better by comparison.

Being upset about the way someone mods their car - even if they have a boisterous attitude about it, is childish. Now reckless behavior... that's another story and unfortunately I often encounter it from the same crowd you're speaking of...

well like it said before, everyone is free to do as they want.

i think it just gives all twins' owner a bad rep, thats all.

I guess I've gotten too tired of really caring. I think my turning point was when I noticed how many ugly C6 Corvettes I saw, and realized no matter what price bracket you're in, there will be people who do ugly things to nice cars. :cheers:

I've seen some riicceeedddd twins, but I don't say anything, I just snicker under my breath.
They can do what they want,I don't have to agree with it, but I'm just glad I don't have to drive or be associated with it.

Do you realize how many people that is? It's not like there are only 399 of these things like it's a Ferrari FXX or something. We're not a homogeneous group; quite the opposite actually. What you think is a bad rep, the stance guys might swoon over. And vice versa. And if you're in a BMW, why are you worried about the rep of twin owners?

Also, I like that front end. The fenders, not so much.

FRSapex, are those examples of rice?... That "Lexus FRS" and those other body kits look nice to me.... Maybe I've got different taste...

yeah its not a super rare car, but it also isnt like Civic, Mustang, and ect which have way larger production number... i dont have one of the twins, but the SO wants one, thats why we sign up here.

the only real thing I dont like about the frs body style is the side mirrors it would look so much better if the side mirrors were mounted oem wise on the hood/fenders like the original 2000gt or 240z datson I think that would be sexy but maybe its just me

I think anyone with a Rocket Bunny kit is guilty of making the car look absurdly stupid, but there's 40000 more of those opinions where I came from.

Just mod the car in the way you see fit, and move on. I would rather spend time thinking about my own life than worrying about what someone else's taste in cars will do to my own fickle opinions.

People have been messing with perfectly good cars for years .... and I doubt they will quit.

agreed, but it sounds like you saying i went out and had non functional air vents added to my car. again, the twins also come with non functional air vents. and its just little air vents on the fender. im talking about the bigger picture. 5 feet wing, ugly body kits, painted interiors, racing strips, butterfly doors, lime green or some kind of other ugly paint color, and the list goes on.

Let's break this down into bullet points.
1) almost every functional(proven to provide downforce) aero includes a oversized wing, why you ask? To...provide downforce keeping the car planted.
2) YOU may think a body kit is ugly, whose to say the other 99% of people do? My eclipse has a kit I bet you would say is ugly, I think it looks good and is completely functional with wind tunnel tests to prove it.
3)everyone should be happy with mis matched colors in their interior? The frs is a good example of this in my book. 90% of interior is red and black. Then random small pieces of silver? Yes, I plastidipped the silver red. Why you ask? It lt truthfully looks more factory and gets rid of the mis matched silver.
4) a racing stripe makes a car rice? Last I checked, MOST cars come factory painted with stripes. Guess domestic factory's are been over run with rice.
5) what do you consider not an ugly color? Matte black? Silver? Camaros come in a lime green, are they rice?

As for the 3 pics you posted. Perhaps they are show cars? As for the twins being the new honda. What do you expect? It's an entry level sports car priced FOR older teens/ younger adults. If your not happy with the way someone made their own car, move on. The "rice" title is long overdue to fade out.

On a side note, tell your SO good luck on getting a twin. I love my frs and they are truly a blast to drive while getting above average MPG.
