Drop Knuckles instead of lowering Springs or Coilovers
Hey everyone!
While replacing my rear lower control arms I decided to get some drop knuckles a go. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...psqizgtbsr.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...psghgjrz14.jpg These would bacially drop the car 1.75" while maintaining the factory stuts life and ride feel. The geometry does change (similar to coilovers) but the benefits are much better. Drop Knuckles instead of lowering Springs or Coilovers
Where did you get these ? Work for long term usage ? And what happened to your car !! :(
Edit: Saw your build thread, good luck with repairs :) Subbed' |

:thanks: |
Do these work on stock suspension? And can you get them so that the drop is only 1 inch?
|
where can i buy?
|
cool very interested
|
Yeah, who makes a dropped uprights/knuckle/spindle ?
|
Does no one else know the answer?? Lol I can't believe no one has lowered their car like this already.

Hey guys!
Little update, I changed my mind a bit on these drop knuckles. I found a Whiteline Raised Balljoint Correction Kit that i'll be using to drop the struts instead. These are a must have for Coilovers or springs IMHO. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...psiysst8uz.jpg Ill post more pics Sat. As far as i know, No one yet :party0030: |

Guys, he made that. It's an OEM LCA that he welded bits onto in order to lower the strut mounting point. It's the same theory behind the Stance LCA and other lowering LCAs.
I'm very interested to see what you do with the front. I've seen some top hats that are elevated to lower the car, that might work. |
gramicci101 - Thank you. I didn't say this and should have. :thanks:
Simon99 - They are a correction kit to improve the cars geometry when you lower your car. congiiee - Definately! These were a test only with the old and ugly LCA's. |
any updates? pics?
|
These are not drop knuckles, this is a hacked up lower control arm.
The front whiteline kit will not lower anything. There is so much fail in this thread its ridiculous. |
That QP rust hurts my soul =(
|
those RLCA's are fucking terrifying, also you could get three feet tall ball joints and they still wouldn't do shit for your ride height in the front, also roll center correction parts on a not slammed car is a terrible idea.
stahp before you hurt yourself or someone else. |
This thread is dangerous and should be deleted. The OP clearly know little if anything about suspension and they are hacking and welding their stock car up and using the wrong parts to do the wrong things.
The OP is increasing the chances that he will kill himself or someone else. |
i love the part where you say "benefits are much better"
|
While this works, (done all the time on trucks). The execution just scares me...

Yea, ummmmmmmm, nope. The rear LCA mod does not do anything for geometry, Just lowers the car w out buying springs. Nothing here has anything to do w the knuckle. At the front, the extended ball joints won't affect ride height, but will help correct geometry and roll center for a lowered car. Right now thinking of this guy.....
