Jhon19lopez is a scammer
 

So here is my deal with this guy. A month back he had posted Airlift Digital suspensions on here for sale. I paid kept in contact everything went smoothly for the most part. The guy has been a member here for awhile and has a build posted on here, cool.

Now here we go, on my end (dumbass) he requested that the money sent would be sent "friends and family" so he can save fees and what not, I never got ripped by anyone before using paypal, so i didn't realize that it was stupid to do so cause you cannot dispute the charges....dumb.

4 days pass I sent plenty of unanswered texts to the guy. Come to find out when I called. "this number does not exist, ect ect ect"..shit

So i proceed to private message the guy with my concerns and what not, took all but 3 to 4 days to get a a response from this guy.

He finally tells me oh your stuffs been sent already and you signed for it?..(I didn't) So I proceed to ask the guy get me the tracking number and information that you sent it to.

He then sends me on a new number (i got a new phone blah blah blah im gay) and sends screenshot of 3 packages...BUT no numbers or address so i can figure out where the package went.
I need one or the other so i can dispute with UPS, but then again his phone is off, the asshole blocks my number.

Anywho, 2months later i'm out 2300 (plus like 50 bucks paypal fees) and no suspension, So fuck you @Jhon19lopez for wasting my time and money. Ill just stick to vendors from here on out.

Edit Found his Facebook; it lists Miami as a place he's been recently (since 5 months ago). The 305 area code listed in his for sale threads is the area code for Miami. It says he currently lives in Santiago de Cali, Colombia.

Call paypal they can still do something about it regardless of what's been said. A member on here for 300-400 iirc in the past month with a similar scenario

If he was in the Army special forces he'd have said ARSOC or the particular field he's in (green beret, delta, ranger, etc...), not ussf.

You're in the AF, how many PJs or TAC-P say they're in the Air Force ussf? They'll say AFSOC, or their particular field.

Talk to PayPal, if they can't give you money back, at least they will be able to prevent him from using PayPal ever again.

And FYI PJ's are mostly in ACC, not AFSOC...Rescue isnt a AFSOC mission...TACPs are attached to Army units and you have to be Elite to become a SOF TACP, its actually something you have to apply to do after being a JTAC for a while. But I agree with you for sure...you have the so called BFT-5252 that is on "his" car...if it is his...hopefully you can do SOMETHING about this any cops in here figure something out with the NC plate?

The amount of people enabling themselves to get scammed is becoming ridiculous. Yes? He scammed you, but if you just didn't send it as a gift it would not be more difficult to get resolved.

yes let that be a warning to ALL (DO NOT by any circumstances GIFT money on paypal) im fortunate enough to not let 2300 bother me, but for any of you guys who work hard to earn what you get hour by hour, i've been in your shoes at one point, i;d be miserable. Just dont want to see this crap happen to anyone else in this forum.

You can still dispute with paypal to get it back

Damn, I was sooo close to buying these off him.

Another user had a similar issue and was able to get his money back from PayPal. Just be honest and explain the details. They'll open a dispute and look into it.

I'll second that request. So far EVERY scam thread I've read on these forums, the means by which the victim lost their money was via "gifting" through Paypal.

A nice, bold, "WARNING: DO NOT use gift option in Paypal if you don't know the seller" (or the like) sticky would go a long way toward prevention.

As well, though these scams aren't the fault of the Forum owners/operators...It DOES cast a negative shadow towards the site for having a place that these scammers can work from, so that's another reason to provide the warnings upfront.

If you use a credit card, PayPal has to get that 3% off somebody. That is how they make their money by the credit card company getting 1.5% and PayPal getting the other 1.5%.
