SOLD: Wilwood Front Brake Kit (BBK) with tons of extras! (NoVA)

SOLD!

Wilwood Front Brake Kit (BBK)

Local pick-up only! (With so much in the “kit” it would get expensive to ship)
$820 for everything!

I got a hold of a 14” 6-Pot Wilwood Kit and am going to upgrade my fronts next weekend.

The kit + extras:
  • Wilwood 4-pot kit (this is the WRX kit that bolts right up) Lightweight (It shaves 16lbs per corner off the stock set-up!)
  • 2 rotors – 3k street miles on them
  • 2 rotors – brand new in box
  • Carbotech XP-10 pads – 3k street miles
  • Wilwood BP-30 track pads - ~75-80% left
  • Wilwood BP-20 street pads – brand new in box
  • Wilwood BP-10 street pads - ~60-65% left
  • Stainless Steel Brake lines
  • Hard Brakes: Titanium heat shims – brand new (these can go between the pad and caliper to keep heat out)
  • 2 brake ducts – brand new
  • 2 6’x3” brake duct lines – brand new (in black)

This is over $2K of parts. The kit is excellent on the street and ideal for autocrossers. Everything bolts right up, all hardware included. The kit has a very neutral brake bias. Feels stock but with a crazy amount of bite and force. I have a ton of information about this kit here:

Thanks, if it were just the brakes, I wouldn't mind shipping but with all the spare rotors, pads, etc. It would be a huge and heavy box.

Hopefully I can find someone in the region who can appreciate it all. Pretty much set up for years of performance with everything I have bundled. I got a steal on a gently used 14" WRX kit so it just makes sense for me.

I should also mention to any prospective buyers. The brakes are still on the car but will be removed next weekend (hopefully Friday).

UGH!.... i would be all over this as well. GLWS. Im very interested but youre way too far from me

SportInjected 04-18-2014 09:06 PM

Man, am I the only crazy one considering making a road trip, just to pick these up? "Only" an 11 hour drive...

swift996 04-18-2014 11:42 PM

For anyone outside the region, I can probably ship at buyers expense, I'm just assuming a pretty large sum to package it all and ship.

hunter3232792 04-19-2014 12:22 AM

only if you had some rears :(

InvalidJohnny5 04-19-2014 12:45 AM

I'd say shipping would be near 80ish

deliroast 04-19-2014 02:00 PM

Shit... Crazy deal!

Any chance you're coming to Atlanta for some track days?

Amir Ghadiri 04-20-2014 09:10 PM

Great deal! For what it's worth, you could probably ship it all in two large flat rate boxes for ~$30-35 anywhere in the continental US.

Wanna talk about a price shipped to commercial 73149? Have PayPal locked and loaded.

Reaper 04-20-2014 10:16 PM

I'm interested as well.

No, unfortunately not.

To those interested out of town - I should have everything off next weekend. I can look into the cost for shipping. The big thing is if I have a box that will fit it all. Shipping seems to be quite expensive locally. I have no business account and the places by me are rip offs. I paid $63 to ship the OEM radiator. My guess is it would be $80-100 but I can see once I have everything boxed up. I'd obviously just prefer a local deal.

Boss Paco 04-20-2014 11:11 PM

USPS ships very reasonably. Might have to box each side individually. I'd be happy with the new rotors and you could recycle or sell the used ones locally.

PoorMansRacing 04-21-2014 10:45 AM

Would you be willing to sell separately? I'd be interested in the BBK and front rotors. I'm out in Maryland.

Thongpocket 04-21-2014 11:32 AM

Are the brake ducts FRS specific?

I'd like to keep everything together since all the spare rotors and pads are specific to that kit so it would be impossible to really sell them separately.

It's actually a custom kit I was going to put together. The front air ducts fit fine, it's just a matter of what style rotor plate you want. I was going to go with the APR backing plates but wanted to wait to figure out what I wanted to do.

Thongpocket 04-21-2014 03:06 PM

If you decide to ship I would be interested.

Just got back from USPS and shipped using their flat rate boxes. I bet you could get some stuff packed into their large boxes ($17) and such. I dunno the dimensions on those rotors, but I bet you could figure it out. Are you near a post office? Couldn't hurt to drop in, I still have PayPal burning a hole in my pocket.

swift996 05-02-2014 11:44 AM

Quick update for those interested. I plan to install my new brakes tonight so I should have everything boxed up this weekend. I can look into shipping arrangements/quotes on Monday.

PoorMansRacing 05-02-2014 12:31 PM

If you still have them by the 16th, I'd be interested.

Boss Paco 05-02-2014 01:20 PM

If you would ship me the brakes with new rotors, junk the old rotors, I'd love to hear your price. 73149 commercial destination. Flat Rate Boxes are the shit! :D

GTHachiRoku 05-02-2014 02:15 PM

Hey! Could you PM me a price shipped to 30188?

swift996 05-05-2014 09:19 AM

Thanks all for the interest. I've received many PMs and have catalog the pecking order.

I just wanted to provide a quick update. I broke the end fitting on the brake line on my new kit (over torqued it) so I'm going to get in contact with Wilwood today to get a replacement line kit rushed. I have everything ready to go I just want to make sure 100% my new kit works before selling these. I still have my OEM brake kit (trying to sell everything for $170) so if you're in a rush I can probably let them go but prefer to wait until I get everything squared away on my new set up.

Some bad news:
When my line cap/end broke I had the clever idea of using a line from this kit that I'm selling. Unfortunately they were a very slightly different size fitting and I cracked the cap on one of the lines for this kit. If Wilwood can throw a replacement in with my order I will take care of it. If not, I can knock $20 off the price.

swift996 05-08-2014 02:10 PM

Alright, I picked up some flat rate boxes and will get the shipping estimated here this evening. They don't look like they will accommodate the rotors but I'll see what I can do.

New price is $800 + shipping. I knocked $20 so the buyer can replace the one line I broke.
New line: Wilwood part #220-2156
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wi...FeMF7AodZCYAGw

Also, I noticed the dust boots were worn a bit (likely from heat at the track). The brakes function 100% fine but while their off, if you want to snag replacement dust boots the part number is: Wilwood #210-7210

Boss Paco 05-08-2014 11:46 PM

Dooby doo waaaaaah... So how much to ship? I just need a number and a paypal.

pleong 05-13-2014 10:37 AM

Damn wish I saw this sooner!! Would these fit the rear?
