glamcem's Track Build 2022 BRZ
I am not really good for build threads but I figured it would be nice to have everything in chronological order to see the progress :)
Car has been purchased in March 2014 and I've started ordering some of the parts in the very same week to get ready for the track season.. Here's my 2014 DGM BRZ Limited when I first got it https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-M...-h561-no/1.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-g...-h561-no/2.JPG and with the mods Street https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-y...Large%2529.JPG and Track https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-J...Large%2529.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-A...Large%2529.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-E...05953404_o.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-5...61896539_n.jpg List of mods: Engine/Exhaust/Drivetrain:

Can't wait to meet you on the track!
|
^^ It was a lot of fun :) Hopefully you can make it next time.
I will post some pictures and videos when I finish editing. I am loving these NT01s they handle like a dream |
That list of stuff to be installed looks promising...eagerly awaiting updated pics :party0030:
|
Great list! Can't wait to see it finished.
|
I will do my best to post everything about the progression . In the meantime, I've added couple videos of the track events I attended this past weekend and updated my first post and will continue adding new videos. I think I am the fastest stock powered BRZ at both tracks unless otherwise posted ;)

Nexus 7 and Torque app seems to be working fine to take logs for the most part (in both events) my coolant temps were at around ~95 degrees (F) which is good but I saw oil temps rose up to ~265-270 (F) hopefully OEM oil cooler will help reduce those oil temps. I am glad I was running Mobil 1 0W-40 since it looked good between sessions.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-J...-h399-no/3.jpg Stoptech brakes on the other hand could've been better since I noticed slight fade, I will soon get some Carbotech or Raybestos St43 or equivalent pads and separate rotors so that they can bind well together.. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_...-h399-no/4.JPG Tires also seems to be holding fine and pressures were stable at around 35 psi between sessions.. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_...-h399-no/5.jpg Here are some pictures of my car and friends' Mx-5 Miata and Lotus: getting ready for the trip https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-2...-h399-no/6.jpg I can fit 4 wheels and tires, track stuff (jacks, helmets, tq wrench, ..etc) with no problem https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-I...-h399-no/7.jpg The Ridge Motorsports Park https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X...-h399-no/8.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-k...-h399-no/9.jpg On the road to ORP (Oregon Raceway Park) https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-K...h399-no/10.jpg ORP: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-O...h399-no/11.jpg |
What color was your Evo? Did you ever have it at the ridge?

A Little update: I've installed Perrin OP, Invidia Catless FP and Tsudo Catback.. It was an easy install but time consuming maybe it's because I am not that to install parts in general :) It took me about 4 hours (could've been faster but I took my time).
I will soon post pictures and video, sound is not annoying on the highway and catback is pretty quite but with nice tone .. |
after driving little more that it's not that "quite" but it's not really loud too.. if this is a quiet option I wonder how much it would get louder with other exhaust setups..maybe I am just getting old :)
|
A few more updates:
ADD W1 Catch can installed Perrin OP installed Invidia Catless FP installed Tsudo Catback installed https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-j...h399-no/12.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-1...h399-no/13.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-A...h399-no/26.JPG I love the exhaust sound and am happy with being on the quiet side ..my previous experience with Catback exhausts were not good :) |
Ok a few more updates I've installed everything but haven't filled the canister with oil or started priming yet since it was getting late last night ..overall, it took me about one and a half day to install the kit but I took my time and had to make a few trips to home depot and harbor freight..also since I have been also installing my radiator and OEM oil cooler I had to be strategic so I wouldn't double the efforts ;) I installed everything in this order
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-p...h582-no/14.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-t...h582-no/15.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-T...h582-no/16.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-t...h582-no/17.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/--...h582-no/18.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-0...h582-no/19.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6...h582-no/20.jpg cogged pulleys arrived right on time :) https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-c...h560-no/21.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-D...h560-no/22.jpg additional tips and install notes can be seen here |
I have just learned that my FA 500 coilovers have been shipped !! I will post some pictures upon arrival :)
|
and here are some pictures of the completed setup
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-r...h495-no/23.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-g...h495-no/24.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-D...h495-no/25.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-A...h495-no/26.JPG oil cooler fitment tight but shouldn't be an issue https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4...h691-no/27.JPG for those who are concerned with KoyoRadiator and its fitment with this kit, I'd say go for it.. I put the intake tube by removing radiator support and slightly trim the plastic part on the radiator shroud ( about 3-5mm at most) so fitment not an issue at all.. also while at it, I removed the fog lights and put some mesh screens to fit the custom brake ducting that I will soon start working on it ;) https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-I...h495-no/28.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-b...h495-no/29.JPG my track setup is ready to be installed (with extra set of brake fluids).. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Q...h691-no/30.JPG |
Great looking build. Very well thought out and purpose built. Would love to hear your thought of the Kraftwerks products when you have some drive time.
Keep it up. |

wow car pulls really rally hard after the new tune also my coilovers arrived I will soon provide more pictures and info
|
ok here are a few more updates :) I have installed my coilovers and drove down to Firestone for alignment with the camber plates my friend was able to get -3.0 fronts and -2.5 and -2.8 at the rear wheels.. so far I am really happy with the improvement
Also I have to add I think Fortune Auto did a great job on packaging and they are pretty responsive when you need some assistance which is a big plus for me since I am not familiar with adjustable coilovers .. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-M...h495-no/31.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-X...h495-no/32.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1...h495-no/33.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-c...h495-no/34.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-m...h495-no/35.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5...h495-no/36.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-J...h729-no/37.JPG |
on the way to RMP I noticed that I still could get 30.3 mpg, I wasn't even trying :)
maybe it's because of the traffic in front of me (drafting) but I was able to get about the same on the way back https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-S...h560-no/50.jpg and some shots fron the lapping event with coilovers 1.5" drop all around https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-N...h560-no/51.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-I...h560-no/52.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-k...h729-no/53.jpg I will soon post the video from the lapping event |
Great thread. Would love to hear your thoughts. I am looking at the JRSC kit(Almost the same as your kit)

the first post has been updated so it now reflects the more up to date information about the camber/coilover settings..
I also received the revised map and car seems to be running even smoother now :) I will include a few more photos regarding the updates .. |
Nice build bro !
|
I took my car to Drift Office today for a dyno session :) I am really happy with the results
Ambient temps were about 72F https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-g...h560-no/59.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-U...h457-no/60.jpg and compared to stock baseline https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-z...ne+vs+KWSC.jpg |
Nice horsepower numbers. Would you call that power curve linear?
