Openflash+Nameless Header

Is anyone running this combo? I did a quick search and not much comes up.

I'm going to be needing a tuning solution but don't know which ruote to go.

RehabJeff86 04-17-2014 12:41 PM

So far I hv not found any either, I hv both Nameless header and OFT, waiting for few more parts to install and will do a dyno tune soon with Vishnu Tunning, hopefully to post the file up at the time

I'm looking forward to it Jeff! :)

TylerLieberman 04-17-2014 03:45 PM

Same here. I was considering the same setup. Curious to see the results.

Deathreaper 04-17-2014 04:03 PM

I also have a similar setup and I was wondering if the OFT EL stage 2 maps can generate the torque mountain as seen with Nameless' tuning where the torque dip use to be (or would we need a custom oft map?).

Brahsbrah 04-17-2014 09:51 PM

I glad I'm not the only one looking for this info!

FrsDuke 04-17-2014 10:38 PM

Also looking. I'm probably going to get power blocks and a nameless fpop before I bother with a dyno tune, so something a little more optimized to tide me over would be excellent. Rehabjeff is planning on getting his car tuned at Vishnu and has the nameless header. Dunno the timeline on that.

The car feels great on the stage 2 tunes with the nameless so far.

solidONE 04-17-2014 10:50 PM

In for results.

Convert some logs to Virtual dyno!

I don't have a stock baseline so not sure what good it would do. Also a shortage of flat straight roads here

Oh... around here straight, flat roads can often be found around warehouse district areas. Just go to go after work hours and make sure there are no cops posted up before you do runs. lol

So you're running Nameless header and the OFT off the shelf stage 2 tune... Correct?

Looks like I'm going to have to drop some cash on the OFT soon.

I also got the injen intake on last night. About 60 miles on it so far, no problems, knock on wood!

FrsDuke 04-18-2014 05:44 PM

The oft tunes are off the shelf and are optimized for the stock intake. To get it to run well with an injen will require adjusting the maf tables. I hear it is relatively easy, but I haven't played with it and it is particularly important with any aftermarket intake. You may not get good results with the injen and oft otherwise

verts 04-18-2014 09:00 PM

Ordered an oft today and planning on running the stage 2 with my setup (nameless header,2.5"op/dp, evo3, apexi drop in, mishimoto silicone hose).

Hopefully will be able to get it set up to take advantage of the header when a couple others get dyno tuned as theres not much available up here for custom tuning. Im sure ill be happy with even just the off the shelf tune.

I think you will be happy :) Thanks for the order!

cheers,

Im curious to see if that lump of torque the Nameless headers got could be replicated using an OTS tune.

regal 04-20-2014 02:55 AM

I guess if I spent over a grand on headers I'd want a custome tune. Its ashame there are so few opensource/tatrix tuners but I thought nameless was working with one. It would be really nice if Nameless provided a basemap.

Bump.

Also... With the OFT can you flash back to stock without the stealership knowing you had a tune?

Pistol 04-28-2014 05:57 AM

running nameless header/ overpipe/ downpipe/ axleback
and stage 2 EL OFT/ e85

i am getting recurring CEL p0240 despite the tune which is annoying
otherwise pretty good so far,
i will get the Vishnu custom tune when i get bored wth it

That code is cat efficiency you no longer have primary cat, just go in with romraider and disable that cel code

Deathreaper 05-10-2014 06:02 PM

Any update on this? Nameless just posted in their header thread that you need a pretty unique tune to get the most out of their product...

Now I got both Nameless header and Crawford BPB installed, waiting for dyno tuning time with shiv@vishnu!!! will post result if Shiv ok it!!

Brahsbrah 05-13-2014 10:14 PM

Running stage 1 with the injen intake and 5" Nameless axelBack right now. Waiting on the headers to come in!

Is it normal to have that crazy raw sound right when it hits 4k rpms? Sounds like the cams switching over, almost like a vtec sound!

Are you using an off the shelf map or custom tune?

Yes, thats the VVTi sound between 3-4k RPM

Currently Im running Stage 2 catless off the shelf tune, but awaiting custom dyne tune with Shiv soon since Nameless header is special

Deathreaper 05-13-2014 11:29 PM

Let me know if Shiv is able to replicate the torque mountain which Nameless' tuner created.

If shiv can fine tune the nameless header please share the cam timing or convince him to just provide a special stage 2 just for nameless owner :)

Boofneenee 05-14-2014 07:22 AM

In for the results

Love you! Srsly!

Finally got a hold of Shiv today, hes extremely busy for the next couple of week, hopefully we can get this done by the end of May or early June. Will definitely post result and if possible publish the tune

Shiv doesnt lock tunes, so yes you will be able to Share cam timing and results :) I would have done it myself but I'm not in the USA and can't pay for any dyno time with a good tuner.

I'm seriously willingly to pay a share of your dyno time if you provide a good nameless EL map (if shiv can and you agree to install Crawford BPB and create a custom map for nameless EL/BPB, I'll definitely pay for the time on the dyno).

@shiv@vishnu

Deathreaper 05-15-2014 07:56 PM

Asked Nameless if we could get some sort of basemap to start off the tune so we can at least emulate the torque mountain results... Will let you know what the response is.

Brahsbrah 05-16-2014 12:05 AM

Interesting.

I could be willing to contribute to this nameless EL tune pool as well. I may have to pick up the power blocks as well, which I'm not minding.

Juanito08 05-16-2014 01:29 AM

Interested on a Nameless Header Stage 2 tune as well... Looking forward to some good news
