Greddy RS Exhaust Sound Clip- Single Muffler

Stumbled upon this on youtube, not sure if it has been posted already or not..

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gQ3P1M5Ezc&feature=endscreen&NR=1"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gQ3P1M5Ezc&feature=endscreen&NR=1[/ame]

This car sounds much better with an exhaust... Like the single exit too.

Cheddar 05-15-2012 10:25 PM

doesn't sound bad.

ichitaka05 05-15-2012 10:28 PM

...just I don't like the design. I'm not a fan of that huge tin can style exhaust.

eikond 05-15-2012 10:50 PM

Finally!!!! An exhaust that sounds great.

Too bad a single pipe from a rear valence designed for dual tips looks stupid..

Their N1 muffler?

Jimbo 05-16-2012 03:16 AM

Sounds OK, but looks silly with the missing exhaust on the other side.

Function > form.

STJ 05-16-2012 06:29 AM

Finally a single exit exhaust! I can't stand duals.

Calum 05-16-2012 09:34 AM

Lighter and better flowing +2
looks like crap 0 as I don't care one iota

Draco-REX 05-16-2012 09:41 AM

I said it before, I'll say it again. Stationary revving is stupid. If an exhaust company wants to show off how an exhaust sounds, they should do it with the engine loaded (i.e. a take off and drive by.)

Though I guess this is a good example of what it'll sound like when the car is sitting in a parking lot and the driver wants to show off to a bunch of wannabe Fast N Furious types.

/rant

86design 05-18-2012 06:24 AM

kinda wish they tilted the exhaust a little and added titanium tip

jdmboss86 06-06-2012 05:45 PM

release

hey i ust figured out form greddy that this exhaust will be available in july:thumbup:

86knecht 06-06-2012 06:29 PM

I like the idea of single exhaust exit for weight reasons, but the tip is to big

catharsis 06-06-2012 07:00 PM

sounds too ricey for me. I'll wait for some more lightweight single exhausts to hit the market.

WRB-DZA-BRZ 06-06-2012 07:13 PM

I'll take a single output flat black exhaust please, with 2.5" input and output, no fake tips. A cleaver way to cover the passenger side exit would be nice as well.

ESBjiujitsu 06-06-2012 09:09 PM

this exhaust is growing on me.... i wonder the weight and hp numbers

BioRage 06-06-2012 09:27 PM

Why Single? :\

If you go single, should fill up the gap on the other side.

Quads>Duals>Singles

Personal Preference.

OT: Sounds decent.

because this is a 2.0 liter 4cyl engine that makes 160whp... Anything more is just more bark than actual bite IMO

Exhaust 06-06-2012 11:23 PM

If you want my honest opinion i think this sounds like hammered shit... but no one asked for my honest opinion, so i'll leave now:wub:

hasnt the fr-s been dyno'd several times showing 170hp to the wheels? which is pretty impressive considering its rated at 200hp at the crank? lol

i want greddy rs but in a dual exhaust format

03Z33 07-30-2012 02:15 PM

Anyone have this exhaust installed yet?

subatoy 07-30-2012 02:56 PM

I hate the "tin can" look.
the sound is great but wouldn't purchase solely on the
cheapo-pep-boys look

mikeg7827 07-31-2012 10:17 AM

the picture/video doesnt do the exhaust system justice.. my gripe is that its a single muffler not dual... even right now when i look at the back of my fr-s stock exhaust it looks like a very thin sickly looking system and i can see under the car and want those dual exhaust outlets filled with a purpose :)

mikeg7827 08-23-2012 12:15 AM

Greddy has been hush hush on the RS recently... Hmmm

xwd 08-23-2012 03:21 PM

Yeah on another thread someone mentioned sending emails to them to get them to release it because if there isn't enough interest they might not.

thats because the interest lies in a dual exhaust GReddy RS system lol

i would love that option! :) thats why im leaning towards the ARK Grip exhaust because its dual and it actually looks pretty sexy with the dual chambers and it has the titanium tip option that i think would look awesome on my whiteout ...

HKS and a few other companies does the stationary, take off and drive by for all there videos.

FrsSwag 08-23-2012 10:53 PM

I would take the single if it makes more power then the duals. It wouldnt look bad if u had a single outlet on the bumper.

iDerek 11-15-2012 05:26 PM

The RS will have a titanium tip option.
For weight savings, you save around 17lbs.
For the tip size, it's a 4" tip, but if you think about it, the EVO3 is as big.
For gains, still unknown.. but for reference, the EVO3 got 5whp.

mikeg7827 12-14-2012 01:00 PM

did the RS ever come out? or did Greddy wise up and make it a twin exhaust system lol

03Z33 12-15-2012 09:36 AM

Still show's as TBD.. eagerly waiting for this single setup!
