Keep the BRZ?
and add a ducati panigale 899 or...dump it for a corvette stingray z51?
keep it.
I absolutely LOVE the new corvette!! but.......... given the chance to own the BRZ AND 899 panigale over the vette, I would take the BRZ and Duc everyday
Get the bike. Corvettes suck.
899!! Love them. Take a look at an MV F3 800 and a Triumph Daytona 675 R though too, I would have gotten one of those three if I could have afforded the extra insurance.
brz and bike any day...
What if the corvette changes to R8. Pushing for the v8, it might just be the last gated manual ever. Bikes and whatever can wait.
R8 wins me over.
R8 grossly overpriced from performance standpoint however
r8s price to performance ruins it for me. I feel like i could build something faster in my driveway with that amount of money
Change the Z51 to a new C7 Z06.
I drive cars now feel good factor, performance is no longer relevant when teslas and 15k bikes can dust 150k cars hence will not consider z06. The most track capable vette...who really wants to track a 1600kg car?

Is the Corvette really that heavy? That can't be right? |
I'm not a motorcycle person, or rather I think it's too hostile to ride where I live. I'd get the Vette (with a manual gearbox and the performance pack, of course).
Another vote for keep the BRZ and get the 899. The stingray and R8 are great cars, but so expensive and so flashy. At least the BRZ and 899 are easy on the budget.
I'm also a proponent of the feel-good factor, and want vehicles that are enjoyable to drive even if they don't have 500hp. A sportbike, be it a naked like mine or nearly a race bike the 899, gives you so much feedback and such little interference. They are the most pure way to experience the road. Are you a rider or just looking to get into it? I thought the same thing about bikes, "eh I'll get one eventually". One day I said what the hell and really started shopping. That was 6 years and two bikes ago and I haven't looked back since. Bikes are so much more goddamn fun than cars it's silly. Only you know what you really want, don't let us make up your mind for you if you honestly feel different. |
same here, keep the BRZ and get duc!
Why the heck cant Alfa stick a stick in the 4C damn that thing. Red Alfa and Ducati together would be perfect.
Keep BRZ, add bike. Variety is the spice of life, a change is as good as a rest, etc.
BRZ and Duc>Vette
BRZ and Duc<R8 |
The R8 is too much when factoring maintanance and the huge gas guzzler she is. I can do something like a vette or alfa 4c plus a bike so I will go that route.
Have you considered the GTR?
Having owned a few Ducatis (998 Bayliss Rep and Hypermotard 1200 sp and 750SS) I'd keep the BRZ and get the bike. |
Bikes in our country? A waist I've had 4 crotch rockets, Harley's etc..
The weather window is too small. Eating bugs, being cold as fuck early in evening all sucks. And to top it off bikes see, invisible for so many people. I love the Ducati don't get me wrong but it's far from practical. A car doesen't care if it's raining or windy and you stay comfy all the while... Now if you lived in California or Arizona, Florida absolutely! Trust me I'd like a 899 but being realistic gets me so money goes elsewhere. |

I'd do some research on the mortality/morbidity actuarial tables for bike riders to inform your decision - especially if you live in a big urban zone.
I sold my bike when I moved to NC because it wasn't anywhere near as safe as Florida...
That said it depends on your area. If it's safe for bikes go bike + BRZ. If not C7 all the way. I would buy a Vette now if I could. I fkn love the car. |
keep it please
keep and Duc it!
