Wow, that looks great. The color match is pretty good too. I like how aggressive it is without looking tacky or ricey.

636 04-10-2014 09:49 PM

Can I get a shot of the rear? That's all I need left to buy, and I'd love to see it.

Also, can you still jack up the car with the sideskirts? And does the rear require cutting?

Thanks. :)

jadewbj 04-10-2014 10:24 PM

The last shot is of the rear. I think there was a close up one but I have to search for it tomorrow.

The rear did not require any cutting, just goes right over. Still have great clearance and jacking the car is ok, you might need to roll it up in some wood if you don't have a low profile jack. I use Takata LDS ramps and my low pro jack And it works great.

As requested here is the close up of the rear.

Looks awesome very OEM and aggressive! Fits the lines of the car perfectly

husker741 04-11-2014 01:22 PM

How close are the colors? The white from the Five Axis kit barely matches at all.

It is a damn near perfect match. At least on mine it is.

Thank you very much. I like to keep it clean but still have it's own flair.

Diode Dynamics 04-11-2014 01:59 PM

Very clean IMO,

Do you have any close up shots of the color matching? That seems to be everyone's biggest concern IMO. It's hard to match Whiteout from what I've been told

In person I would say it's a 98% match, the difference is BARELY noticeable. For some reason cameras exaggerate the difference.

Autocon 04-11-2014 05:34 PM

Car looks fantastic! Loving the C-West kit. And the rear wing/spoiler looks great without being over the top.

jadewbj 04-14-2014 09:08 AM

I need to clean the car to get up close shots. It is hard to do though because of how whiteout reflects the light. I need to get it on an overcast day. From just looking at it you would think it came on the car when I got it. But if you go up close and snap a pic it looks like it doesn't match in the pic.

The thing is you need to compare the same "brightness" areas to know if it matches. When the sun hits it you get really bight white highlights, some middle whites and some grey areas. It all depends on the angle of the part and how much curve it has.

Does that make sense to anyone other than me lol?

KI_ZN6 04-14-2014 04:31 PM

Love the CWEST Aero Kit. Clean and looks perfect on your car! =)

FT-86- 04-14-2014 04:39 PM

Looks tacky, ugly, and paint doesn't match that well. I'm sorry I'm being honest.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The look is not everyone's cup of tea but the paint is a near dead match.

Camera's mess with whiteout. I have pictures where my own car stock looks like panels don't match. It is all in lighting and curves and how the reflect.

I can give you the paint but not the kit. It reminds me of those old Hondas http://www.ridelust.com/wp-content/u...r1-500x280.jpg

That is taking it to an extreme. Like comparing a lizard with godzilla. It is a bit more aggressive than say a 5AD but in now way an "shogun kit".

Ok maybe I exaggerated a little bit but still. That front bumper ad on looks pretty tacky.
The rear ad on would be ok without that non-functional vent in the corners.
Side skits are ok; they look very similar to Trd.

IMO not even the 5ad does it on whiteout.

JDMenrique 04-14-2014 07:31 PM

So much hate young Padawan.

Frs32907 04-14-2014 10:35 PM

What are the black lines on the kit? Is that weather striping does it cone with it if so?

jadewbj 04-14-2014 10:38 PM

Yes they are a gasket and come with it. I got grey ones and will be changing them out soon.

FRSHunter 04-14-2014 11:22 PM

Does the Rear lip extension just cover up the stock bumper or is there some kind of cutting required? Extremely interested in getting this for my Asphalt.

Frs32907 04-14-2014 11:30 PM

Where did you get it from? Anyplace state side have these instock?

jadewbj 04-14-2014 11:44 PM

Got it through a friend. I think there are a few vendors on here that sell it. The rear just goes over. No cutting.

FRSHunter 04-15-2014 06:50 PM

What is the kit made out of? FRP, ABS, Polyurethane?

jadewbj 04-15-2014 07:05 PM

You have choice of carbon or Frp. Only frp comes painted.

636 04-15-2014 07:08 PM

And the FRP sounds terrible when you scrape it into stuff, sounds like it's shattering. But it holds up good!

FRSHunter 04-15-2014 07:58 PM

Maybe it uses PFRP? It's like a hybrid Fiberglass that supposed to be more flexiible than traditional FRP.

jadewbj 04-15-2014 08:23 PM

It is def a plastic, my first one was cracked by brown.

Hmmm according to the CWest Japan site it is also offered in ABS. I'll probably go for the ABS and update this thread.
Thanks for the answers guys!

JDMenrique 04-15-2014 09:57 PM

What ever it is its definitely strong. Not to thread jack but here's mine:

jadewbj 04-15-2014 10:22 PM

1 Attachment(s)
The abs one is the only option for pre painted. It is strong but not super flexi. Mine cracked at the fang in shipping. I have the abs one. Attachment 74714

Any additional holes need to be drilled for the entire lip kit or do they just use the Factory holes?

JDMenrique 04-16-2014 09:08 PM

When did you get yours @jadewbj? Mine was covered in so much bubble wrap and foam peanuts that I'm pretty sure that if I would have dropped it would've bounced.

jadewbj 04-16-2014 09:22 PM

There were a few needed in the front on the inside. They didn't quite all line up with the factory holes. Nothing that wouldn't be covered by a pop tab if you wanted to take it off.

I got mine through a friend and I'd prefer not to say cause they are not a vendor here. They took care of it and sent a new one right away.
