2014 BRZ Owners (maybe '13?) - Question on Pricing
Hi everyone, I apologize if this thread has been made before, but it was hard to find some solid information regarding the Canadian market for the BRZ.
I'm looking to purchase this car and I am trying to utilize some due diligence to make sure that I don't get ripped off. IF a post regarding this matter has been made previously (I tried searching to no avail) please forgive me! My question is how much did you pay for your BRZ? I plan on financing. How much were you able to bargain down? How do I know if I am getting ripped off? I've been to two different dealers and they are quoting me (AT) at $36k and $37k after taxes, PDI, freight, etc. I know the MSRP is $30,495 (AT) and $29,295 (MT). This is for the sports-tech edition. This will be my first car that I personally own so a little guidance will go a long way for me. Thank you all very much! |
Hey buddy, got mine two weeks ago. I decided on a 2013 Sport tech for the only reason that they were offering 60 months@0.5% and that other than 2 new colours and the really bad Navigation from the US, nothing had changed. I was able to get a 1400 discount + factory 500 on the car and a couple of accessory, plus a great price for my trade... 37K seems high to me, especially after taxes since I though Quebec had the highest taxes in Canada at 15% and my BRZ came at around 34.5K after rebates.... Definitely try to haggle, especially on a '13 if you don't mind the year.. Keep us informed !

I was out the door with all fees and taxes for 34,925.21 at the end of Sept on my 2014 sport tech. No trade in but I put 4,925 down and got 1.9% for 24 months. PM for any further details.

for the frs i paid the msrp .....oh, i did get the white pearl free of charge lol i was trading in a 5 month old car, so my situation was not normal......people in their right mind don't make shitty decisions like that :bonk:.....so i was trying to get as much as i can for the trade in while the frs was kept at msrp still hurts that i made a horrible decision, and lost money, but that all goes away when i'm driving the frs |

Now I see at least 2 or 3 in any Subaru dealership but mostly blue or white (again the two colors I originally wanted UGH!!). |

There was no benefit for me to take a '14 model because the lease rate was something like 3.9% vs. 0.9%... only regret is not taking the sport-tech pkg but I hate the spoiler so that was the tradeoff and I'm cool with it. |
I got a quote for a MY2014 BRZ sport-tech MT at $35.6k all-in/out-the-door in Ontario. So add around $1.5k-ish for AT.
However, cash-only price was just a bit over $32k. At that price, I don't see how anybody could choose the FR-S unless they REALLY like the nose and instrument panel better on the Scion. Have you looked at unhaggle.com or carcostcanada.com? They will sell your contact info to dealers, but give you some idea what incentives are out there. unhaggler is free (but needs your real phone number) and carcostcanada is around $30 if I remember correctly. |
