You guys have the other red version?

There were two red styles in the pictures above. Red and smoked red. Were you referring to one of these @boonFRS?

No. This one.

That is probably the Red smoked version, different lighting angles will make the clear area brighter than in our pictures.

The only ones in production are the units we pictured.

I think there's three different versions of the red ones. Here's a video for the ones I'm talking about.

Are these tail lights DOT approved?

Unlikely, I think the only DOT approved ones are the TOMS

Another tread says that they are. Don't want to post links to thread because it's another vendor's sale tread

per Jeremy at Ft 86 speedfactory, they do have the DOT approval on the lens. I bought a set of the red ones today. Looking forward to getting them!

Anyone have pictures of the smoked and clear on a whiteout? I'm kind of digging these but not sure which of those two I like better.

Do you think the smoked reds would look better on the asphalt frs?

Not better or worse. I think they'll look equally bada$$.

I've gotten soooo many compliments already. Even had a guy in an Audi
pull up next to me and ask where I got em and if they are available for his car. I dodn't know but I told him the name. He then intentionally got behind me and started snapping pics.
EVEN my dad who is completely anti "pis$ money away on your car" was like...."Those look mean. I like em"

I think the smoked red would look great personally. I still haven't had a chance to see them personally during bright daylight to see how the smoked affects lighting visuals. But it's been raining here since I installed them. Since she's not my DD I don't drive her in the rain. As soon as I get some video of bright sunlight driving I'll try to figure out how to post it up.

I just installed some, and the left turn signal blinks fast. The right one is fine, and the hazards are fine. Is it just a defective left light? Any ideas?

The resistor might be blown or faulty. I believe it's actually in the housing. I'm sure the vendor will do an exchange.

Anyone have the Chrome or Black (not smoked) on a WRB BRZ? I'm thinking of getting a set for my WRB, but haven't found many pictures of them.

I'm leaning towards black. I saw @Mooseknuckle44 in person and they look awesome!

Black was my second choice. I think they'd be considerably more visible so the safety factor was the pro their. The con was l REALLY wanted smoked. Lol. If you do buy a set, don't wait to find out if they leak. Clear silicone EVERY seam. Just for piece of mind.

What color is your car? I'm REALLY interested to see how the black looks on an Asphalt car. Just to convince myself l made the right choice. All the guys that have ridden behind me say there's no light visibility issues as far as brake light/turn signal brightness. Which was my biggest concern with getting thw smoked.
