Toyota 86 Manual (English)
just wondering if anyone has a copy or knows where i can find an english version of the toyota 86 manual.
be greatly appreciated! Cheers. |
That im aware of no one has a copy yet. But then again i haven't been looking to hard.
Well perhaps the USA folk have but i cant see em scanning that many pages. |
just want the light bulbs page detailing all bulbs sizes and sockets used. I've seen the BRZ manual in english but it seems theirs differs to the 86 (from what i can hardly understand from the japanese manual of the 86)
|
thanks anyway dude!
|
what do you plan on doing with the lights? I think they come in HIDs for GTS. Got a gut feeling they might be H4 sockets for the Non HIDs.

hey davey, i plan on doing an interior LED conversion so change all of the bulbs to LEDS so they're brighter and as for the exterior, HID's for the GT (since im getting base model) and hopefully when the foglight kit is released i can purchase the stalk, foggies and the bulb for them and also led's for the rear license plate. |

what do u mean the backlight across the dash? as in the odo, speedo lighting? if thats what you mean then most likely no since i've never done it before haha. but vanity lights etc i'll change. and i wanna know what size globes the 86 uses so i can buy them all on ebay before i get the car. i wanna buy as much items for the car prior to getting it. but not much specs are out so have to wait... ok, sorry if the text ain't formatted properly, my machine was having a go at me. It wouldn't let me render the file as PDF. So it came out as RTF (rich text format) only and this is what I got for Page 353. |
thanks for that! well only thing thats good in that manual is the low beam and high beam of the headlights. doesn't even specify what the bulb sizes are for the others.. :(.. i wonder if the brz uses the same interior lighting and foglight sizes...
|
rear licence plates are T10. i checked.
personally i don't care about the foggies. if i buy the GT i would like the black trim with the holes for foggies and hook up some pipes for brake cooling. |

its in my previously post above =) I doubt fog light and interior is same. Most foglights I've seen used on cars so far use H11 sockets. Then again every car varies... |
thanks guys! i guess i'll just wait till we get the car and then purchase the bulbs then. for now its H11's and t10's on the menu. i really wanna purchase coilovers, HKS' from japan... just wondering if i should wait for BC's or others like pedders etc..
|
if you want the look only, get springs. if you want improvement i'd spend a little more over BC etc.
i think the car has been tuned pretty good by Toyota and $1k coilovers are likely to make the car worse. |
How do you propose to convert to HID's up front? Obviously with an aftermarket kit?
You knwo that's illegal without the washer jets right? |
a hid conversion kit, i've done it in my previous car and never had a problem with the boys in blue. i dont plan on tracking the car but there's a possibility in future however, i do want the look and would never go springs. just not for me i've had springs in my other car and doesn't satisfy me. CUSCO is too exxy, HKS is an option, BC possibly, tein maybe but yeah see what others are out there...
|
for me i am not going to bother with JDM brands for this car. i'm thinking about KW but they're exxy....
maybe some swift springs + konis. |
Fair enough man. Just wanted to make sure you knew it was illegal, that’s all. If you haven’t had any issues previously, that’s good, and lucky :)
As for coilovers, I am with Nardi.. Don’t get cheap ones. I will be considering TRD, Cusco, HKS, Tein and maybe a couple of other brands. |
:w00t: thanks for your concern. anyways i'll go with whatever suits my budget. im not after expensive brands just whatever goes for a decent price and is decent for looks and is 'comfortable'. at the end of the day i dont plan tracking it or hooning/drifting the streets. just a daily driver here in a nice car that turns heads is all im after.
