Ugh! Just bought a new BRZ for 3 days and got hit! Some didn't see me when backing up and got hit. What will happen now? Will I be able to trade it back in and get a new one? Attachment 72545

Tell the dealership it's a lemon lol. Sorry to see that happened though. At least you're okay

subiestyle 03-30-2014 09:58 PM

Ugh. People suck and can't drive.

You serious, Clark?

BadMoon 03-30-2014 09:59 PM

No you can't take it back. Insurance man.

TOTO_86 03-30-2014 10:02 PM

The bumper looks replaceable and the hood. I don't know if the frame is damaged because if it is then it might be totaled. Sorry...:(

iff2mastamatt 03-30-2014 10:03 PM

Can't tell if there is any internal damage, but did you purchase gap insurance?

Shagaliscious 03-30-2014 10:04 PM

Your name wouldn't be Brian, would it? LOL

Good effort, but wrong meme. You fail.

The thread title of "Bad luck" made me think of the bad luck brian meme. Good try by trying to tell me what I was thinking, but you fail.

Uh huh..

Turbo95eg6 03-30-2014 10:10 PM

3 days! Has to be a record... I feel bad for you OP lol. You should call the dealership and say they must have missed a little scuff on the bumper that they overlooked...

Cycotech 03-30-2014 10:10 PM

What BadMoon said. Talk to your insurance company and get insurance info from the person who backed up.

Burrcold 03-30-2014 10:42 PM

Suuucks

CrazyClover 03-30-2014 10:45 PM

Happened to me. Had the work done at the dealership and I'm not sure anyone can tell that it was ever backed into. Looks worse than it is. Good luck.

He's right. Wrong meme regardless of your thinking. Sorry.

Again, it's the meme I meant, it's not wrong.

If you think it's not the best meme, that's another thing, But I could give a fuck.

So you COULD give a fuck? Because I think you mean you COULDN'T give a fuck.

:D

The weird thing about putting people on the ignore list is you still get notified if they quote your post, even if you can't read the reply. LOL

Thanks for telling me that. I'm gonna continue to do it. And btw, I saw that you "Thanked" my first post until I commented about your meme being wrong. Then you reneged on your "Thanks," and I guess you got so upset that you thought you needed to ignore me because I jokingly said you failed. Someone seems a little upset. Do you need a hug?

shellslinger 03-31-2014 12:56 AM

Unfortunately, you cannot trade it in. Use your insurance to cover the damage. Do you have the other party's information? If you do, go through the other person's insurance to ensure no out of pocket expenses are incurred.

husker741 03-31-2014 12:57 AM

Anyways, sorry for the off topic posts, OP. Hope it all gets worked out and your car comes back looking brand new!

Hi Beeboo4life and welcome to our forum ...... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/wave.gif

Too bad you came on board under unfavorable circumstances .... :(

It looks to me that your car will fix up just fine.

Just let someone's insurance take care of it and think about all the fun miles of driving you will have this summer.....http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/wink.gif

Are you 12?

I'd have to recommend asking daddy what to do.

Ammunition 03-31-2014 05:13 AM

Hopefully you got their info - or was this a hit and run? GL getting it fixed up and taken care of. That sure sucks :(

BANGER 03-31-2014 08:30 AM

That'll...
wait for it....

...buff right out.

JDMenrique 03-31-2014 08:51 AM

Look on the bright side, at least its just the bumper.

djmm 03-31-2014 09:08 AM

Looking at many accidents threads, is it just me or cars these days seem to be made of biscuits/tin foil?
A bit of bump, there you go, whole thing cracked open.
Some collision, the body folded like scrunched foil.
I think the lightweightness of this car doesn't help either...

EAZYBRZY 03-31-2014 09:19 AM

This turned into an arguement about who used the wrong meme lol

Mad1723 03-31-2014 09:19 AM

Cars are supposed to destroy themselves to protect the occupants in case of impact. They absorb the energy so you don't have to. The fact that most parts are plastic also doesn't help them when it comes to breaking apart in case of collision.

Calm down there he said he was kidding

Sarlacc 03-31-2014 09:34 AM

I had the front bumper and one headlight replaced after a similar incident.
My insurance company and the dealer took care of it, and the car was fine.

Yea, I missed that part. I thought his comment was a little out there...makes sense it was a joke.

subiestyle 03-31-2014 06:08 PM

Right meme? lol

Doesn't seem to be any frame damage from what we can see, should be fine. Dumb drivers.

Actually the frame is damaged... 😞

I'd like to see how there was any frame damage. Unless the truck hit the crash beam so hard that it went to the frame, I can only imagine the radiator core support being damaged under the hood.

Edit: sorry, I take that back. Did it even go as far as the radiator ?
