Does anyone else's headrests creep upwards as they drive?

I'll set my headrests at the lowest point...then I'll drive, 50 maybe 100 miles...then I'll lean my head back and my headrest will be about 3 or 4 clicks up.

Anyone else?

Doesn't happen to me. Must be all that mad acceleration going on that throws you back into your seat :D

wheelhaus 03-25-2014 11:19 AM

I don't think mine do this... Now I wonder.

I adjusted it once when the car was new but haven't touched it in the last 1 1/2 years and it feels like it's in the position I want it to be in, I use it all the time in stop & go traffic.

humfrz 03-25-2014 11:44 AM

Nope.

If I put mine all the way down, they will work their way up a notch or two. Only thing I can think of is there is not a notch to hold the low position. It doesn't take much to bump them back up to the first click...do it without knowing.

chutrain 03-25-2014 07:29 PM

I noticed that when I get in or out of the car with a hoodie, it appears to push the headrest up. I have not noticed any movement from just driving.

suaveflooder 03-25-2014 07:30 PM

LOL! YUP! All the time

this.

i always set mine at the lowest setting too, but its so damn sensitive that even if my hoodie "bumps" it even while just getting in the car, it'll move up to the first notch.

wheelhaus 03-25-2014 08:36 PM

Follow up post...

I checked, and mine are locked firmly into a notch. No movement here.

CruiseZen 03-25-2014 08:44 PM

I'm tall and have it up a few clicks. No movement that I've noticed.

userjack6880 03-25-2014 09:10 PM

I can't remember if I had mine up or down... I'll set it to down next time I'm in the car and see if it does after a while. Shouldn't but you never know.

There's no detent at the lowest position - headrest ON the back of the seat.
Every time I get in and lean back to achieve correct bu-tock (Forest Gump) positioning, the bloody thing pops up to the first stop.

It's just not right.

I'm contemplating getting out my green crayon to put a film on the post to see where the lock comes to when it's down,
then filing a new detent to keep it there.
