Uel headers sound like crap

I don't hate you, Gilwith1l. I'm just a little disappointed.

Depends on what exhaust you pair it with. I love mine, sounds like any wrx sti.

I got UEL and sounds better than anything I ever herd. If you dont like loud, you shouldnt have got UEL, yet alone aftermarket headers. Especially considering most UEL come catless, your going to get a super loud and raw sound that most wont like. You got what you paid for. Obnoxious Noise.

Why don't you explain a bit. What kind did you hear? What other components was it paired with?

Everyone go ask your neighbors how they like your aftermarket exhausts, Also if the "gains" were totally 'worth it'.

Been listening to sound clips on YouTube for the past few months and I finally came to the conclusion that uel are not for me. I think everyone can relate to being indecisive about their next mod. Yes it was a broad statement but it made me happy figuring out what I wanted to do and I wanted to share with everyone. Sorry if you didn't catch my humor

I can partially see your point. UEL sounds really good to me, however I don't believe the UEL sound fits the looks I this car. IMO.

Fuck neighbors, when they are paying for my car, then they can complain. Half these assholes are sucking off welfare anyways. If my car wakes them up at 6am when I'm going to work, their asses should be getting up for work too instead of me paying for their ass to sleep all day and then they wanna give me dirty looks cause my "loud" exhaust.

hahahahahahahahah I know right, I park my car right outside my apartment and check on it like every 2 hours. I already came out one morning to a ton of scratches on my side... The business under my apartment has security cameras, So I got a copy of their tapes to find some dude leaning up against my car trying to pass it off as his or something. (dude was wearing a studded belt or something)....Man I wanted to rip this guy apart if I ever stumbled upon him.

Why not move out of there?

You all know that the stock headers are UEL, right?
Think about this for a minute and you may realize that hating on UEL's makes as much sense as hating on the color blue (or right turns... Or anything that comes in multiple flavors!)... UEL's come in many forms and sounds.

It may not be as unequal as the borla but it is nonetheless unequal. Again, UEL just means "not equal"... Many different flavors and sounds out there.

Length is measured to the collector which is where the pipes converge into one. Not to the cat.

I will however say that I can see how if they moved the pipe on the drivers side half an inch the car would have had UEL. So I can see where you are coming from.

Well, the expansion compensators on the one side make it sort of a variable inequality.

There is a 16-18 year old kid with a Ram diesel with stacks in my neighborhood. When I can hear it at idle 5 houses down the street, it is too loud. Neighbors have every right to complain. The minute you stop respecting your neighbors is the minute they stop respecting you and your things.

I think the sound of our cars with ELH and exhaust is awesome. My car has FB turbo with ELH, Nameless 3'' front/overpipe, and Tomei 80R titanium exhaust, and the sound is so sweet!

UEL sounds good near redline IMO, but down low, around town I don't like it personally.

I really like the sound of the UEL but my setup both now as NA and future with a turbo is EL. Turbo cars sound fine with EL, NA the cars sound like crap. It takes just the right components to make it NOT sound like a raspy chainsaw/Honda.

Opinions will be opinions. I honestly like both, but for a 4-cylinder UEL is best. I say we all swap the engine out for an EG33, and then we will all have orgasms.

Having grown up on V8 muscle cars, I can't really say I've heard an exhaust on these cars that doesn't sound like a pissed off bumblebee. But that UEL "Boxer Sound" always makes me think the car has a miss... :)
But, different strokes for different folks.

What if... humor me here... they were employed and had a different schedule?
