Question: vortech+innovate possible?

Looking at installing a innovate non intercooled kit with my vortech kit. What issues would I run into besides too much boost on a stock block. All I can think of at the moment is what belt to run.

Well the innovate makes more power on the bottom and and vortech makes more power on the top end. It's a serious question not a joke.

If you wanted to go this route your better off trying(but will take a lot of $$$ and time) a twin screw like the inovate and a turbo. What are your goals. I would just recommend the turbo route. There are plenty of builds that show quick spool rates with big power.

But I already have a vortech supercharger.

Innovate and turbo makes more sense if you want two.

Perhaps you should see the Supercharger comparison sticky...

will do. If you have a moment I want to have a discussion with you about tires, wheels, and your ideal suspension modifications. Let me start with the wheels and tires. I'm looking at the Enkei Raijin wheels but I'm not sure what what offset, width, etc to go with. As for tires, this setup will be for track and street use. I do have dedicated winter tires. Running Vortech Kit.

(prefer no poke, no spacers, and keeping the speedometer reading as accurate as possible)

Send me a PM or start a thread in the appropriate section, and I'll be more than happy to answer your questions.

Do it you can have two things robbing HP. at the same time. It would look cool though

s2d4 03-23-2014 12:10 AM

Perfect combination for max power everywhere, you'll be the first!

Poodles 03-23-2014 12:13 AM

Running two superchargers wouldn't be effective (though it has been done with roots styles). Supercharging with a turbo works (otherwise known as "twin charging"), but I really doubt it would run without a full fuel system and a built block...

Nah vortech is highly efficient according to them, no problems adding innovate to it.

He would have max power over the entire rev range, plus being the fastest in his neighbourhood and whichever track events he attends.

I want to see a twin supercharger setup with a triple sequential turbo.

If he adds nos watch out...o/p I'm just kidding . I could only imagine the tuning nightmare that a setup would be.But I dont know anything. I just found out i have an actual key in my fob the other day

Yeah, NOS would be perfect, 250hp shot by pushing a button at 2000rpm is awesome.

Also, seeing the NOS bottle where the cupholders are would be absolutely baller, no one would mess with you on the streets.

Holy crap I found someone on this forum that's not a tight ass.

The only intresting one with vortech in my opinion would be ESC TQ 300. You will get the low end that you miss and not as expansive as Innovative and less drag

AZFA20 03-23-2014 03:56 AM

Try not to take offense to this but the other day you started a thread because you couldn't figure out how to install a hood prop for your Vortech kit that comes with pretty clear instructions on what to do and now you want to combine an Innovate and a Vortech kit......... see where I'm going?

Surprisingly not a single person has made mention of the real estate the two superchargers pulleys occupy.

SkAsphalt 03-23-2014 03:59 AM

I always thought this account (OP) was a troll. Just saying - always asking/saying crazy shit

kiichiro 03-23-2014 10:02 AM

If that's what your want, build a 6:1 compression fa20 motor and run a turbo and your choice of sc.

I also have a bridge I want to sell you

Didn't have the right part. It was missing...

wparsons 03-28-2014 08:47 PM

Forget the pulleys occupying the same space, look at the flow rate of the Innovate blower... it can only flow so much air (even if it's pre-boosted by the Vortech blower), so really all you're doing is choking down the Vortech to what the Innovate can flow.
