ODS is an OpenOffice format. The file can be opened in any version of Excel from 2003 or later. You could always just host it on MEGA or Dropcanvas (this one is temporary) so people can download it and we can handle any conversions it might need.

illest86 03-21-2014 11:51 AM

This is interesting. Whacha got whacha got?

Synack 03-21-2014 11:54 AM

2015 BRZ Model Codes:
FZA-01, 6MT - 2.0 Premium
FZE-01, 6MT - 2.0 Limited
FZF-01, 6AT - 2.0 Limited
FZS-01, 6MT - 2.0 Limited

FZS is supposedly the STI trimmed model.

Don't know if this has been posted, but it's BRZ not FR-S.

Again I'm at work and access all that.

kbye 03-21-2014 12:03 PM

So basically they're bringing the ts version for 2015

raul 03-21-2014 12:06 PM

Why not attach the file here? Someone will convert it.

dtrop 03-21-2014 12:44 PM

Would the "ts" or "STI" parts be able to be ordered and installed from dealer? Front lip, side, etc...

raven1231 03-21-2014 12:54 PM

The s stands for supercharged

Starkiller 03-21-2014 01:03 PM

I am skeptical about any big changes. We will see another Release Series and some minor changes, but nothing huge.

Can you just take a screenshot and post the image?

The 2015 model is most likely the model I will be purchasing. I'm practically chomping at the bits for this info.

KkSc 03-21-2014 01:19 PM

I can't wait to see...

I hope that was sarcasm.

Books 03-21-2014 01:39 PM

Why don't you just download OpenOffice?

TrackRider54 03-21-2014 01:40 PM

In typical Japanese fashion, you'll probably see a new color or some trim changes. I can't imagine there will be any major changes in the first 4 our 5 years. Just look at the Miata. It's been out for 25 years and is only on it's third generation.

Its not an s, on racecar world it means hope.

Yugimons 03-21-2014 01:55 PM

Well, at least it's something. Gives me a (almost) definite month to target for my purchase. Thanks! :)

Zed 03-21-2014 01:58 PM

For those lurking this thread and looking for the play by play: looks like pictures are up in OP. Thanks!

Oh no not sarcasm. The new STI BRZ will have the 2.0s 260hp engine!

86-tundra 03-21-2014 03:04 PM

FJ Cruiser : discontinued

:brokenheart:

torqdork 03-21-2014 03:39 PM

So all the new Monogram owners will have a year older car 2-3 months after delivery. It might be worthwhile to pick up a leftover Monogram at a discount in July.

Subie gets Sti and Scion gets TRD, should be some fun new interchangeable parts available soon.

Sad about FJ Cruiser. I've owned a couple and it's the most capable, fun, practical SUV in the fleet, especially in M/T flavor with the full-time 4X4 system out of Prado.

Havsie 03-21-2014 04:04 PM

I hope nobody was expecting some miraculous new engine or more power for the 2015. It's obvious that it wasn't coming this year since there hasn't been any leaks in regards to new engines or production.

However, I'm sure we'll get some minor aesthetics package for the Scion one too. Every year they have to have a "limited production" one that has HIDs and some other stuff from the top spec GT86.

Rampage 03-21-2014 04:35 PM

So in May all the questions of "Should I wait for the 2016 model with the HP increase?" start?

The twins had to make a major power play in this their 3rd year which is when new models (especially sports cars) either drop off or "make-it". The sales will literally plummet as a result of the new gen Mustang and Stinger just being on the market. The 18 month buyers have already been dropping off this platform (not waiting) and expect a substantial amount of owners to bail on the twins when Mustang inventory hits peak. Trying to pick back up the pace for 2016 will just crush the car because optimally they'd have to wait until 2017 to get the 18 monthers back from Ford & Kia. I know that for myself I'll be ready for a big money car by 2017; I could possibly wait until 2016 but not if I try one of the others.

I don't know who's running the marketing over at the Toyobaru project but they need to be fired. The only hope here is for a half year/early 2016 model to come right as the others hit peak inventory. Especially if it's a single trim level upgrade, because people will have a greater trust in a model already being produced (think of how many, it's a first year car threads we've had). *2 cents*

There will always be buyers in the market for the latest shiny. See all the 10 and Monogram buyers who spent extra bucks on bling. I think the marketing folks know exactly what they are doing, and have seen how many people will be willing to spend more money. It's comical at this point.

FZS is supposedly the STI trimmed model.

Don't know if this has been posted, but it's BRZ not FR-S.

Let's hope the STI trimmed model at least is the tS version and not the Australia BRZ-S version.

Anything more than the tS version will consider a bonus although I really hope it will come with a higher displacement or FI engine.

Take a peek at the Miata. It's been around for a quarter century. First generation ran for 10 years. Second gen ran for 7 years. Third gen has been in production for 9 years and still going.

The twins aren't about speed, never have been and probably never will be.

This!

People don't understand that these are niche vehicles. These kind of cars don't get updated every 3-4 years like your average econobox. Toyota has invested a ton of money into developping something that is relatively low volume production, for it to be worth it they can't be updating every 3 years.

Look at the Miata, 350z, S2k (which never even saw an update)The twins will probably see a facelift in 2016 then an overhaul in 2018 at best.

Tromatic 03-21-2014 11:27 PM

How many in this thread are going to run out and buy one, whatever it is?

FiRStsc10n 03-21-2014 11:35 PM

So come June, my car won't even be 1 year old since it was delivered to the dealership (10 Series stop-sale, delays) and it will already be 2 model years out. It pains me a bit

Why? Will your awesome little car suddenly suck?

Temporary thread jack, but since a couple of you mentioned it: I was driving a 2011 FJ 6MT before the FR-S. My wife may never forgive me for trading it. I do hope to pick another one up at some point. It is a great truck.

Seriously, nothing to worry about. Perhaps I'm just trying to comfort myself, being in the same raft as you, but I love my 10 and expect minor evolutions/improvements to the breed to just strengthen our options for factory parts and aftermarket.

The key (for me) with this car was buying into the platform. A couple friends kept saying "great little car but wait for the STI/TRD version". Bah. I got tired of waiting, and I love my little car to death. They could announce a "factory tuned" version tomorrow with 240+hp, firmer suspension, upgraded brakes and I still won't care. I've already bought a "factory tuned" car and chucked out tons of parts that didn't meet my goals.

I'd rather build my own dream car at this point. :)

Quentin 03-22-2014 11:36 AM

I'm considering a '15 WRX or a '15 FR-S. More power in the FR-S would not sway me in the slightest. The only reason that a WRX is a consideration is because I have a kid. If there were a reasonably priced RWD, fun to drive, light sedan, it would be on the list. I'm leaning against the WRX because I have the opportunity to get a sports car and I've squandered that opportunity in the past and regretted it. Nothing is going to make the WRX feel like a small, light, RWD chassis like the twins. The new WRX seems to have a great chassis.... for an AWD 4 door. The question is if I'm a ***** and go the safe route again or if I buck up and take the bad (impractical, stiff ride, difficult to get in and out, questionable all season capability) with the good (telepathic handling, amazing chassis).
