After almost a year I just realized I don't have a door key. How am I supposed to get in if the battery dies

It's inside your key fob. Push the button on the side and pull it out from the keychain.

If the battery dies it is considered Totaled and Subaru gives you a shiny new car ;)

Next question would be how do you turn the keyhole with that puny key plastic tab / handle. :D

BTW my locks (both driver's door and trunk) were super stiff when new.

Maybe its just me, but I always fidget with everything all the time. I knew there was a key in there before I left the dealership.

I just want to clarify that the BRZ actually comes with what is titled as an "Owner Manual". Maybe OP got confused at this potential typo and thought it was just a manual on HIM.

Since we are asking "dumb" qustions.... I checked the owner's manual and found nothing on this...

How do you start the car with a push button start if your key fob is dead and can no longer be detected?? (No key hole inside of car for ignition)

You hold the fob close to the start button. It will detect it. Works the same way in pretty much every keyless ignition vehicle.
