So, what's the stock offset?
Has it been revealed? I did a search, I promise... :)
I want my aftermarkets to be as light as possible and to adhere as much as possible to the OEM geometry. |
I have a spec sheet from Toyota Finland that says 7x17 ET48.

Scooby said this yesterday:

Im not trying to sound rude or anything, so if I come off that way, I apologize. |
'12 Impreza wheels are also +48.
|
no....your good...:)...its stamped on the backside of the wheel......If I am wrong..then I truly apologize....I am basing my info off the Impreza wheel..

Understand...Subaru's are like Tinker Toys...they do everything for a reason..on my 99 Wagon I have parts ranging from 1999-2009 on it.. meaning that they can use as many parts as possible for different vehicles..for instance... if you ever want to upgrade the brakes on the BRZ...you can use STi components (calipers, 04STi rotors, and 08 plus stainless lines)...Another instance would be the rear sway bar...Stk on the BRZ is 14mm...if you wanted a minor upgrade...a o8 plus WRX uses a 16mm...and the STi uses a 19mm...they are all the same bends..:) Thanks for Clarifying ..Joe definitely is the man..I use his site for alot of things...:) Bill (Feels better now..;) ..) |

For 100% the official answer is....
17 x7" with a 48 offset. I just pulled one off the car and checked. |

Ditto on what Bill said. Measurements would rock. Hell if you test fit then that's even better!
|
Dammit! I thought the stockers were 17x7.5.
|
|
Good. Now we know.

That looks like Subaru Manuals!! Hook me up!!
Tomorrow is the day I plan to start putting together our "BRZ EXPOSED" post/thread. So I will for sure get some good measurements for the wheel wells. I can tell you this, that there is about 3" more space in the rear for a bigger tire compared to the front. I think the only thing is, what kind of tire selection are customers going to end up with. Staggered or same size on all corners? My initial thought is same all the way around, but who knows. We need to see what happens when we start adding power. |

They're probably very similar, yes, though I am not familiar enough with Subaru's manuals to say for sure. The Scion follows normal Toyota/Scion/Lexus manual formatting.

Hey guys! Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I figured this might be a good place to add it. I know the stock offset is 48 (from this thread, thanks!), but I saw a thread that was running some 18" Drag rims that were 35 offset on the front and 38 offset on the back. Do those actually fit on the stock setup, or did they do some sort of change to the suspension? Thanks!

. A most impressive necro. I think this one might be a record.
