Can you fit 4 wheels "17"(rims) in the frs?
Any one know if you can fit 4 tires with a passenger ?

yes you can

Yes, easily. Just throw down the back seats and it'll fit fine. I've fit 18" wheels in the back trunk/seats area more than once.
It's a tighter fit if you got tires on them but should still work. I didn't try to squeeze it in but I've fit 3 tires + 17"s in the back, plus 1 tire+17" wheels in the passenger seat before. |
Put the back seat down, stack them up.
Put a blanket or something soft against the tire and the back of the front chairs, they love to rub. |

Yeah... but it can be a little tricky
With back seat down... I was able to get four 17 x 8.0 wheels with Mich PSS tires into the FRS.. but it took a bit of wrangling.
1. The two wheels/tires furthest front - side-by-side -- had to be tilted up (rear-facing section) so that the 3rd wheel tire could slide under a bit... enough so that the 4th wheel/tire could then be put in last. 2. Depending on how far back the driver's seat must go for you to be comfortable, you might find that you have to move the seat a little more forward than you'd like to make it all work. Maybe I didn't configure this right, but it seemed to be what needed to be done. I'm not sure how the claims that "4 wheels/tires, a jack, and a tool box will fit..." works... especially if you have a passenger in front. Maybe the claim is based on stacking the jack and tool box on top of the front-most wheels/tires. |
Thanks guys, I just wanted to make sure picking up some rims on Friday !! Pics to come

did a search. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=801081 apparently you CAN fit 8 tires in a twin. I will give it a try fitting 4 wheels and 4 tires in somehow and report back. |

I can confirm you can for (4) 17x9 wheels and (4) 245/40/17 tires in the FRS. Separated.
Wheels stacked in back seat with protection/padding. One tire between the 2 wheel stacks in back seat. 2 tires in front seat. One tire in trunk. Probably better way to do this tho Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk |

Yeah, 4 tires will fit no problem. 3 on folded back seat, one in trunk. Plenty of space left for luggage, tools and full use of passenger seat.

I had 2 tires in the passenger seat, 1 tire hangin over the passenger seat, with headrest removed and 1 tire laying diagonal against the tire hanger over it. Then I had 2 rims stacked on top of one another behind the drivers seat and 2 rims in the trunk area. It took me a few mins to place all of this into the car... In comparison - putting the 4 stock wheels, with OEM tires back into the car was a breeze... can easily fit them in a number of ways. :D |
Anyone try 4 18x9.5 with 255s stuffed in back? I will be in a few days, might have to use some KY Jelly

Passenger seat all the way forwards, and my seat way forward, so I was basically on top of the steering wheel...and I'm 6'2" haha. But I got through the 1.5 hour mountain trip like that. |

Since it's about the season when most are taking their winter tire off. I figured I'd post up pics of 4 tires and 4 rims fitting in the frs. Please forgive the cell phone quality.
