And then the UPS man brought these... that fucker pulled in front of my house, stopped, delivered a package to my neighbor, started his truck and was about to drive away when he realized I had a package, too.

Looks great! How are you liking those RS*R coilovers?

Absolutely loving them. I've had KW V3s, Tein Flex, and Koni Yellows + Ground Control sleeves / springs on other cars and these are by far the best performing and most comfortable coils I've had.

humanshield 04-06-2014 10:44 PM

car looks really good. the stock exhaust pee shooters kill the look of the back end shots.

sdemo 04-06-2014 10:54 PM

Thanks dude. Invidia Q300 is on my list of things to buy!

These look great! Perfect fit! Did you need any extra camber adjustment on these past the bit that comes with your coils? I'm running the same coils, wheel size and tires but 245 PSS instead of 255. I want to know if I need to buy anything extra before installing.

Thanks!

sdemo 04-09-2014 09:57 AM

Not at all. I set the front top hats to the -1.5° camber setting upon install, which resulted in about -2° camber front and rear at this height. Once the wheels / tires came, I threw them on and everything fit fine.

You're good to go dude. Get those 255s!

Thanks! I actually already ordered the 245s though, I was too much of a wimp to go with the 255s  On Michelin's site they say the 245s are good up to a 9.5" wheel so I should be ok.

sdemo 04-10-2014 01:10 PM

Sounds like a great excuse to wear them out quick. ;)

tigermack 04-25-2014 05:04 PM

Weds again?!

sdemo 04-25-2014 05:41 PM

Couldn't go with RPF1s... I'd be too much like you...

I haven't had Weds, though. I've had AMEs (Mz3), 5Zigens (Mz3), Enkeis (Miata) and Compomotives (Miata). I should've bought some Rotas.

I thought you had Weds on the MZ3.

I don't rock RPF1's anymore, only sell them.

Any 17x7's available? At this point, I'd take one of the cheap silver ones since I found 3 somewhere else.

Ahh sorry to hear man. I do find myself not driving my miata as much anymore since I got the brz but I could never see myself getting rid of it.

Had my Sports-i's installed about 3 weeks ago, love them on the road. Question about yours, at very low/no speed I am getting minor clunking from the front springs, do you experience the same? I know this can be normal for some coils, unsure about Sports-i's though.

I do get some clunking. It almost only happens during driveway ingress / egress. They have thrust bearings and really shouldn't be doing it, but they do. It doesn't bother me at this point, as I've had them now for about 7,000 miles; I take it as "normal."

The occasional clunking is absolutely the only negative that I've found. Otherwise, the coils are absolutely phenomenal. They are, without a doubt, the most comfortable, daily-able coils I've ever owned.

in the original picture it looks like you have the white fender trim but in the later pics looks like you switched out to the chrome fender trim. 80 dollars for two of them, i think i want to switch em out to the chrome too.

sdemo 03-07-2015 02:14 PM

I had removed the chrome when I first got the car - I was anti-chrome from my Miata days - but I ended up liking the way the chrome looks. I'm going for this OEM+ look, so it jived well with my theme.

I wouldn't go with the chrome on darker colored cars with darker colorways, but it looks great on white - gives it some much needed depth.
