Rims: gram light 57 dr 18x8.5+38 & 18x9.5+38

i think people that spend thousands of dollars on suspension parts solely for eliminating gaps are cray cray

you could have spent only a few bills on springs and called it a day

$950 aint too bad..and plus being able to adjust the height is always better :happyanim:

7thgear 02-28-2014 12:26 PM

the fine height adjustability of coilovers is there for corner balancing and supplementing for weight changes.

it's like using a crow bar to hammer a nail

950 for a new set, shipping and taxes included? i guess that's a pretty good deal, but still much more than you need (unless your stock dampers are used up already)

meh

But hey where I live there are rednecks that spend 10X what we spend on decent coilovers for their HUGE lifted truck suspensions that NEVER see off road 4x4 action.... so I dunno...

Nsot 02-28-2014 12:54 PM

Looks good. Do you notice much of a change driving on a staggered setup? 57DRs were my initial choice, love the look.

thanks bro :happyanim: im about to get my red lug nuts next week just waiting on them to come in..and then the coilovers. hmm just a tad bid..i feel like the car is a little more of a road hugger..the tires seem to grip the roads better..maybe its just me but even my buddy agreed. feel some what more bumps but nothing that bad that you cant put up with.

B14's indeed sound like the best bang/quality for the buck option. A few hundred more and there is also BuddyClub and the Tein Street Flex. I think I've read a few bad reviews of the Buddyclubs breaking and/or read they were made in taiwan or something by a cheap company (idk if that's true). I'd prolly pick Tein Street Flexes out of the aforesaid 3 coilovers...dem Teins look quality.

Tein are good..but bilsteins though..had a few buddies with these on the wrx's and they were nice

h4nh 03-01-2014 06:21 PM

looks good. time to slam it :)

btw you'll need fender pull for those 265 unless you want really negative camber.

Only lowering it an inch or so

FRS-HHH 03-07-2014 09:42 AM

just ordered my bilsteins pss b14s :D

FRS-HHH 03-07-2014 10:23 AM

@Moddiction

jrook11 06-26-2014 09:27 AM

Curious how these wheels fit after lowering? I'm dead set on these wheels, but I went to discount to get a price quote and they told me the 57dr's would not fit without some modification...

Letty Ortiz 06-26-2014 11:11 AM

who ever is telling you they wont fit, obviously dont know this chassis very well...

just look through the meaty tire thread, most have no fender mods besides the rear bumper tabs trimmed. (which will trim themselves if you dont)

also it depends on the tires and what suspension.

Thanks, that's exactly what I thought. I argued with him for a few minutes before telling him to drop it, I just wanted a quote. My mind is already set on those wheels.

i have more pics if you want

cdrazic93 06-27-2014 02:45 AM

If you want there can be another option other than the B14's, there's the ST's as well. At an affordable price point, I wouldn't buy anything but those two in the order;

1. Bilstein's
2. ST's

Not if you're going to use that potato.

Should have posted in Wheels | Tires | Spacers | Hub

Could you make up your mind?
But seriously, why would you post a blurry picture when it is so easy to post a pic that is sharp.

I never have liked black wheels, but Gram Lights are damn fresh. Is that brand name actually embossed on the spoke?

How much do these weigh anyhow?

Thanks for the pictures, all of them were good enough for me. Should be placing an order for those wheels today, going with the gun blue. Still haven't decided what brand tires I will run yet
