C&C Tigard + Lunch Sat March 1st

Already was talking to Josh and Kohei about this. Anyone want to get it going? Lunch after. I do not know the area and whats good. So someone will have to suggest a good bite to eat.

There is a pretty good Thai place near there. A good Mexican place nearby as well.

Also for anyone interested OPCA will be holding their annual autocross inspection there that morning, apparently you get a sticker that lets you bypass the pre inspection before each individual event.

thehapaone 02-27-2014 08:21 PM

I'll be there on saturday for sure

ilpad 02-27-2014 08:26 PM

We have been going to Famous Dave's BBQ thats just down I-5 a mile or two.

Dammit don't remind me...going out was probably a bad idea too night consisted of getting smashed, sleeping in my car for 3 hours, and being hungover as fuck the next morning...yay for too many shots

My job takes me out of town for long periods of time, I am back now again tho.

I was at C&C saturday :)

I am no longer a AT&T store manager if u hadn't heard. I left last spring and now work in the electrical contracting industry.

Who is your store manager at 205?

I actually had heard about that. It's ok. Warrenton is still always getting the chamberland award.

Danny young. Great little Korean guy. Were also known as Portland eastside!

Tommysfrs 02-28-2014 01:42 AM

I'll most likely will go if the weathers nice, also McMenamins John Barleycorns is near by to eat at.

digital_assassin 02-28-2014 02:21 AM

I might be able to come out if I can catch up at work tomorrow and not have to kill my weekend in the office.

Another unknown super awesome place to eat is NY Rubens on Martinazzi. Best pizza (thin crust*) and the best Philly's in this town, hands down.

*Had to clarify thin crust on the pizza style because if your going for anything else Flying Pie is possibly the best pizza on the planet, or at least in Oregon, but you won't live long if you eat there often. Pretty impressive to see a perforated sheet put on a pizza and then see it flipped upside down and drained. There are multiple locations of that place around here including one on my side of town but the one by Darrens is the only one worthy.

I'll have to try some of these places out. I'd all but given up on finding some good pizza here since moving out here (came from New York so my opinion on pizza is incredibly biased).

Chen 02-28-2014 03:04 AM

Lol so... What time are we meeting up? Are we going to a place and than cruising in together?

m.box.design 02-28-2014 03:14 AM

digital_assassin 02-28-2014 03:40 AM

@Decay107 - NY Rubens is about as close to NY pizza you'll get around here. It's really good.

Don't make me ring your door bell a million times. I know you live right by me! :D I've never been to Tigard C&C before so I have no clue how long it will take me to get there. Or what time it even starts! Or where it even is!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

They better be still winning them. I didnt teach them how to do it for them to forget as soon as I left! We won 11 in the 12 months I was the manager :)

Eastside is a good location and Danny is awesome.

ilpad 02-28-2014 02:38 PM

I only know him from manager meetings but I know hes well respected by his peers as well as his employees.

I agree. He's been trying to win the chamberland since I last remember.

Escape from NY pizza on NW 23rd is my favorite in Portland. Thin crust, only accepts cash, dirty as fuck but its hard to beat. Only 3 different toppings I think, they don't fuck around. Best crust I've ever eaten. don't take it home, you need to eat it there.

There is another Italian style pizza but that can be sacrilege. Ken's artisan pizza, its a sit down restaurant. I order anchovy's on the side there, weekends can be pretty packed but highly recommend.

NickFRS 02-28-2014 07:56 PM

digital_assassin 02-28-2014 08:52 PM

Let me know if you ever have to do this on weekends again. I need some hands-on blue print reading skills. School never taught me any real world application of blue print reading.

No FR-S tomorrow. It's being taught to drink corn juice. I'll be there in the Jeep though!

Eat your vegetables..
