Custom seat belt pads I requested now available

I posted pics of the prototype custom seat belt pad I had made by a tactical gear company (EMDOM USA). i've been using it since august last year and have been very happy with it. I actually use a second one around my lap. I urged them to make a limited number of sets and offer them for sale, just in case some folks here wanted some as well.

How many have been mad?

10 sets i believe. they make tactical gear, not car stuff and had no idea how many would sell, so they made 10 to start. if there's a demand, they can always make more.

when you release the seat belt with normal shoulder pads, the metal park of the seat belt usually falls and hits the bottom side plastic trim, with these customed shoulder pads, does it fix that problem ?

If they're willing to do different stitching colors, I'd be up for a set. Probably silver stitching, so they'll go with blue or red accented interiors.

Vs. TRD pads
 

I have TRD seat belt shoulder pads and have to push them down when I remove my seatbelt in order for the belt to retract and not fall out of the car. I think that these will keep that from happening. I just purchased these and will let you know how effective they are at resolving that problem. I like em - we'll see.

not sure i understand - there's a little plastic button on the seat belt that prevents the metal part from falling all the way down. which bottom side plastic trim are you referring to?
are you using the retaining strap?

like when you have a seat belt cover, when you remove your seat belt, you'll have to adjust the seat belt so that the metal part doesn't fall and bang against the side of your door etc... Need to adjust so that the seat belt will retract.

Just wondering if this custom cover will have the option of the seat belts retracting from itself so that we don't always have to adjust the seat belt strap.

not really, sorry :iono:
the seat belt slides inside this sleeve and retracts normally. having the belt inside the sleeve/pad and the pad retained by the strap on the seat does help reduce the metal part from flinging around when you take the seat belt off, as it's stiffer than just the belt alone. i'm always careful anyways to prevent that from happening on this car and others, but no adjustment is necessary. hope that makes sense. look at the top photo.

Any idea if any of the people ordered did not get part of the original 10? Ordered on Weds but haven't received any shipping notice or anything. Wondering if maybe I was number 11 or beyond.

It's (45USD) for a pair, that's not too bad really. :) Fak it I ordered a set, if I don't like em my fellow canucks can get em from me for a reduced shipping price lol.

EMDOM just revamped their website this week, with some new software, so they're still getting used to it. they said that all in-stock pads would be shipped by monday. i'll inquire about back-ordered pads.

I bought my set a few hours after op posted and just got my shipping conformation today. So, I'm sure whoever ordered should be getting one soon.

I ordered in the 18th and got my shipping confirmation today.

I ordered mine the morning of the 19th and I am order #19. I received an email today from Emdom saying it will be 2-4 weeks. I certnainly don't mind waiting and appreciate the heads-up. They are doing everything they can to expedite the order.

Can't wait for these to comeback in stock!

Wait, maybe they are in stock and their website is slightly broken still. It let me order them...so we'll see what happens.
